AB, Do you mean the external fabric (which I am guessing is waterproof and the name escapes me at present) with the pole and peg supports to keep it upright. Also the ground sheet.
I'm the same, I've never been proper camping. I can only guess at this stage, based upon what Aether posted for Ice, is that we are putting up a tent the 'proper' way. If I've read up correctly, that being with the previously mentioned materials in my post. If I have missed any or am wrong, being filled in would be appreciated. 3

There are ones on sale that do spring/pop up. I dont know their proper name but i have seen them when ive gone past the camping store. I've checked via google as well to be sure I wasn't mixing something up. They are strange and apparently hard to take down.
So what type of tents are ours? I sort of cant post again until I know as I had planned to look up how to put a tent up. Alternatively I could just say Stanley assembled his tent and leave out specifics. 4

As Stanley is about to start putting up his tent. What types of tent are our tents? I know there are different types and styles. Including springy ones that can expand on their own, all you have to do is secure it with ground pegs. (if I've read right)

Louisa was not impressed at Raphael's response to her. She returned his glare, of course she thought herself right. She wasn't being biased! The townsfolk were the ones to try and screw them out of money, not the other way around. But what was the use arguing with him. She hadn't needed him to apologise for her, these Digimon were not worth it.
Louisa gave a snort as he turned, she looked back towards Datan and Mono. Just what did Raphael think they had been doing in his absence? The fire was on the go, all it needed was a little more kindle and it would be blazing properly. "The fire is under control," Louisa muttered to Dyna. "We got it going when you were hunting." It just needed a little more work to get it roaring. A few more twigs and branches should do it. That was something that could be done sitting down and that is what Louisa wanted to do. 6

For part of the journey, Abby had rode on BlackUnimon. However, being in the presence of Levana, she had felt a little safer being closer to her partner. When she wasn't riding, she was walking with Bearmon. Bearmon had been happy when Abby had walked with her, after thinking that Abby was going to ride BlackUnimon the entire way. The weather was annoying, mainly the humidity.
Abby looked to Ferran as he spoke. The town wasn't a picture of beauty, but it wasn't as bad as Ferran was making out. She felt that Piyomon had been harsh, despite gentle. While she wasn't close to Ferran, she felt a little bad for him. The boy didn't seem to be able to get away with much. Between Lorcan and his own partner, couldn't he say what he thought? At least he hadn't said it to any town person's face. This place could have been worse, it could have had nothing but the ships. Abby was a little disappointed that they would not be staying long. She would have liked to have had a decent rest before embarking on the ship. But then, they should have enough time to do that on the ship. She did like Lorcan's suggestion about the café. With the humidity a drink would be good right now. Although Phelesmon's idea of a box of goodies was a welcome one. Oh how welcome something with chocolate would be right now. Although Bearmon's idea of goodies was fish. Abby and Bearmon started to follow after the demon. "I wonder what the ship will be like," Abby spoke up so only the group would hear her. "While this place is okay I do have visions of our ship being somewhat nicer." "I don't think it matters what the ship is like," Bearmon piped up. "As long as it gets us across the water safely." Abby frowned, it may not matter to Bearmon but it mattered to her. Though she surmised that she would have to wait and see what it was like when they were going to board. 7

Louisa couldn't help but give a slight smirk at Dyna's feisty response to Raphael. Finally someone was agreeing with her. Gizamon's pitiful pleading didn't phase Louisa in the slightest. But the Torn Betamon's words angered her. Louisa's eyes narrowed, giving a look of disgust. Enesmon had a reputation, but that one was step too far. Wanting these Digimon as slaves? Just how much more ridiculous could this place get? Louisa shook her head in a no like fashion. There was a strong desire to just leave this place and forget about the room. But then, that likely wouldn't show them in a great light.
Datan and Mono's innocence couldn't stop her from giving a snort. The pair would have to get used to this if they were to continue to travel with them. It was almost a shame they were learning just how harsh reality could be to an Enesmon. She hoped it wouldn't put them off. Louisa folded her arms and wore an ugly scowl on her face. Even as Raphael spoke her expression did not change. They were nice words, but likely wasted on some of these ingrates. Louisa's gaze looked straight down at the torn Betamon after Raphael finished. "Nor were they made by trying to scam us either," she continued bitterly before looking to Raphael. "I don't know why you are bothering trying to reason with them. They're just like most Digimon that we encounter, biased against our species." 8
Fate of the Gods - Role Play / Re: Swampland Invasion« on: June 11, 2013, 01:17:01 PM »
Stanley turned with a start as he heard Willow's panting and wheezing. He had not realised that the girl was out of shape. She didn't seem to be doing so well with the walking. If she was out of shape then why had she not done something about it? It seemed she wasn't as prepared as she had indicated back at the Pokémon Centre.
Stanley quickly turned his head as Willow's shirt rose. He did not want to see it go any further up. At least she seemed comfortable against the tree. She could rest for a little while, before she had to sort her tent out. Stanley allowed Pichu to slip down to the floor, next to where Axew was looking to her trainer. [Is she okay?] Pichu asked. [She doesn't look very well...] Stanley looked to the ground he had identified carefully. He took a tentative step forward and pushed his foot onto the ground. It seemed just fine. He turned back to Willow and placed his pack on the ground. "It's fine," he called to her. "When you've finished resting, you can then put your tent up." Stanley went into his own bag and pulled his own tent materials out of the bag, ready to start pitching. 9
Minecraft / Re: The Official Palace of Role Play SERVER« on: June 08, 2013, 09:07:48 AM »
I've been on the Server a bit this afternoon. I liked the plugin and I think it gives the game a little more realism. As for the speed of how thirst goes down. It does seem slow compared to how fast our food bar can go down. I do feel the speed should be increased, perhaps up by another 5 to 10%.

Pichu was in agreement with Axew. This was scary. Stanley wasn't feeling as scared as his partner and kept at his pace. Even with Willow panting, the exercise would do the girl good. At least, that was his point of view. If she wanted to rest all she had to do was ask. He wasn't going to stop just because of a little panting.
Unlike Willow, Stanley liked this place for a different reason. The smell and scenery was all part and parcel of camping, something he generally enjoyed. But it could also be home to some Pokémon. Catching a Pokémon was not on his list of priorities, not with him getting used to his new partner. But seeing some was a different matter entirely. Pichu barely moved from Stanley's shoulder, clutching onto him as if her life depended on it. She was keeping an eye on Axew below. As they walked further in, Stanley stopped as he saw a patch of ground a head of them. "I think we may have our camp spot," Stanley turned his head towards Willow. "We just need to make sure the ground is firm enough to be able to pitch a tent." Pichu was somewhat happy to hear that they could be stopping soon. It meant that she maybe able to play with Axew at last. But they were staying in this creepy place for at least one night, that wasn't so soothing. 11

It wasn't a shock that Sightseer was unhappy. In a way it was reasonable to watch her squirm. For her accusations on Orbis earlier, this was a pay back. But not from them. Was Sightseer's job that in-depth that she needed to...well break into places. Even for a detective was that legal? She may have a licence but was it real?
Caramel felt bad for thinking it, but with what she could see before her, she felt it a justified thought. The guard did not seem convinced and was wanting to do his job. That wasn't a surprise either. But Caramel looked like she had been struck in headlights after the guard's final statement. Part of her wanted to run, afraid to be linked to a possible 'criminal'. But running would just put her in bad light. Caramel looked up to the guard looking rather upset. "We haven't done anything wrong," she spoke softly. "We had no idea that the detective had this." Caramel looked to Sightseer, unhappy with her. "You could have told us what we were getting fully into. My parents will be so mad at me if there is something wrong!" 12

A theme for an idea. If I think of a theme (i.e gaming) I can then see what ideas comes out of that theme.

I have a question. I had a look but the answer aludes me. Was it Ben or Dustin that was the video game fan? Or even both? Looking for a theme to go with for ideas. Game related came to mind when I got up.
Edit: this just came to me. Spin the bottle game. Truth or dare that sort of thing. 14

To Caramel's relief, Orbis found his voice and confirmed their intentions here. The guards monotonous voice was off putting. Enough to make Caramel think if they should have tried to find clues elsewhere. Sightseer was especially nervous, but why? She had a note from a Lieutenant, not someone that Caramel knew. The stallion seemed to accept it, but he wanted to search Sightseer's bags? It was evident that she was still nervous.
As the contents started to come out, Caramel stood with her mouth wide open. Investigation tools? They looked more like something that an unscrupulous person would be carrying about with them. "It looks bad," Caramel spoke up, pointing a hoof to the items. "Just how do you use all of this stuff in your job? I don't mean that badly, I don't want you to get into trouble so we cannot solve the mystery." Not being able to solve the mystery would be bad. Especially with the accusations and clues they had already found. |
