So far, it looked as though everyone would be attending the wedding. The thought made Sam smile; they'd have a big happy family event, and that would be awesome...although her smile turned into sort of a pursed-lips kind of expression when she realized something had gotten to Edward. What is his problem? She privately swore that if he were to ever call women sensitive, moody creatures or anything of the sort in front of her ever, she'd at least have a boatload of ammo. One minute, he's super-happy, and the next? She supposed it wasn't easy transitioning back to safety after dealing with Grandracmon for so long, but still...there was a problem, and she wanted to get in there and fix it. But brothers weren't blimps, and she couldn't do much of anything here.

"Got to wonder what his problem is," she muttered to Ben. The boy had also picked up in the dip in mood there.

At least Shawn seemed to have picked up on the issue too, and Sam relaxed a bit. Married. His problem, I suppose.

Mattias sighed a bit when he heard Kresnimon say that they didn't need to worry about the god that lived there. He also managed to misinterpret Edward's sudden dip in mood as mirroring his own frustration with Kresnimon's keeping them in the dark. Really, at this point, it was to be expected, but it was still irritating.

When Mira heard Kresnimon say that they didn't need to worry about anything, she opened her mouth to ask why since it seemed like they'd had to worry about everything else, but Jewels, who was on Hyper "The Adults are Talking" alert, quickly covered her mouth.

Full circle, Kunemon thought wryly, biting down hard on her tongue not to laugh. Usually, she was the one shutting him up.

Tailmon, who was content to stay in her little curled up area for hours upon hours, had perked up at Shawn's announcement that Edward had something to say. She blinked her eyes a few times, stretched, and took a sitting position while she waited to hear whatever it was Edward seemed to think was so important that it needed to be announced in front of the entire group at the moment.

Leah's full attention snapped to Shawn and Edward when the former had said Ed had something he wanted to say. Of course she would want to know what her nephew wanted to say. Avia's and Blake's were focused on the man as well.

She blinked, once, twice, three times. Again, just for good measure. She did hear Edward correctly, right? He and Shawn were having a traditional - well, not from Edward's perspective, Leah thought - ceremony for their wedding? Terry was even going to be overseeing the whole ordeal? A large smile broke across Leah's face. That was wonderful news.

"Of course!" she cried, pulling her hands to her chest, fighting down the urge she felt to rush over there and hug the two men. It was also a little bit of reassurance to her that Mattias and Sam both seemed to have been family left out of the "marriage loop" as well. At least she hadn't been the only one.

"Oh, man, you bet we'll be there, we," Blake had started, his sentence slowing and loosing volume as he gave a sheepish grin to Avia. "Er... We will, right?"

Avia offered a small smile, followed by a short laugh and confirmation for Blake. When the two turned their attention back to the men of the moment, it seemed the subject had been changed rather hastily and Ed looked less than pleased.

Tailmon watched as Shawn went to the side of his husband, trying to figure out what could have caused Ed's dip in mood. She still hadn't said whether or not she would be attending the ceremony. Mostly, she told herself that she didn't really want to go because she still wasn't back to being on good terms with Edward. But she also found a little nagging feeling telling her to go; she told herself that it was because Leah would be there no matter what and it was her duty to be there with Leah. If that wasn't the full truth, well, Tailmon would be the only one to know whether it was or not.

"Well, this is something," she commented, stretching a little more before slinking her way to Leah's side.

"Something just wonderful," the woman answered, though her smile faltered once she took notice of Edward's deflated mood. Choosing to let Shawn and Ed talk whatever it was that had the latter suddenly in such a state, Leah focused instead on the other's excitement. Especially that of the younger ones, such as Mira, which only served to lift her spirits higher in anticipation for the ceremony.

It seemed a good number of the others had taken notice of the shift in Edward's mood. This bothered him, mostly because he didn't like that he'd been so obvious or readable.

"It's nothing," Edward said quickly in response to Shawn's quiet question. He held the man's gaze a moment, then shook his head mildly. "I need to get changed."

He then turned from Shawn, opened up the door to the blimp, and quickly let himself inside. The door swung shut behind him of natural causes, after which Edward stepped a few paces, then came to a halt, sighing.

That could have gone much better, Edward thought. Should have known than to expect things to go smoothly.

Neo had long since become accustomed to Edward's moodiness. It was never shown publicly amidst their followers, but behind the curtains it had always been obvious Edward was a conflicted, irritable man. It didn't take much to upset him and really anything could have set him off.

Picodevimon was a little bit more worried. He gazed up at where Edward had stood, feeling somewhat as though he were a runaway bride.

As Sam muttered to him, Ben nodded slowly. Something had gotten into the man that was more than crystal clear. He had heard the confirmations from Leah, Blade and Avia, but his eyes had not pulled away from Edward. As Edward turned away from Shawn and let himself into the blimp, allowing the door to close behind him. Ben frowned a little more.

It would not do for Edward to be like this, but would the man appreciate him going after him? Ben gave an internal shrug, that didn't matter. Edward may need to know that someone cared. Neo and PicoDevimon hadn't made a move and Shawn seemed hesitant.

"I'll be back in a bit," Ben spoke softly to Sam pulling himself towards the stairs.

Ben climbed the stairs with purpose and looked to Shawn with a smile as he reached the top, indicating that he was there to help with matters. He reached for the door handle and let himself inside. When inside, he closed the door quietly behind him before looking into the lobby, hoping to locate Edward.

Locating Ed was exactly what he did, although he had not expected to see him this way. The man was almost fully naked, minus a single leg that was still partly in his pants and as such Ben could see everything there was to see on the man. Ben's eyes quickly moved up past Edward's groin as to not linger. Ben wanted Ed to keep as much modesty as he possibly could, but he couldn't help but look at the man's chest area. Did Sam look just as good as Edward was like that? If they ever got together Ben honestly wouldn't mind finding out.

He blinked a little at the thought, before finally having the courage to call to the man.

"Er Ed," he coughed a little pulling his eyes completely off the man. "I guess I should have knocked..."

Despite Avia, Blake and Leah's enthusiasm, the mood had seemed to change to Miles. Ed had seemed so happy before and now that had gone. It was almost a shame really, but he was somewhat felt proud when Ben went after the man.

Fang and Wizarmon thought that the additional family support from Leah would change Edward's dememour, they had been wrong. Wizarmon looked to Fang with a confused look, not getting why Edward would be looking like this. Not that Fang knew an answer to it. But when he saw Ben heading his way up the stairs he gave a smile and a nod to her.

Well that was something, maybe just maybe Ben would get answers.

Leah seemed quite excited about the wedding, which cheered Sam. When her aunt had first come back into their lives, she hadn't been exactly thrilled with the way her nephew had turned out. This was a definite improvement, and it should have cheered Edward up, too.

But it didn't seem to have much, if any effect at all. Sam wondered if he'd even noticed, because her brother took off back into the blimp. Oh, come ON! We all just got OUT of that stupid thing! Sure, it was probably safer to run back inside than to run off somewhere outside there, but still. She felt a bit frustrated at that. She was sort of glaring at Shawn now, sending him a look that plainly screamed you go after him right NOW.

But to her surprise (and slight irritation), Ben followed instead. Sam wanted to go too, but she hesitated. Was she going because she wanted to follow Ben, or because she wanted to help Edward? He probably wouldn't appreciate being crowded...

Mattias watched his son go and sighed. And here I was hoping he might outgrow that... He glanced to Elise. "Think we should go after him?"

"Oh, no, no, best let the boys do their thing," Elise replied with a small yawn. "Besides, you know how Edward gets. It takes a friend to snap him out of that. Ben'll be just fine in there. Yes, just fine."

It was truly unfortunate that Edward was so wrapped up in his own thoughts that he didn't realize the door had opened up until it was too late. Really it was his own fault for thinking that he'd be safe to expose himself in there. He'd thought he was alone, but he could easily have waited to get back to his room. It was force of habit though. He was rather used to shucking off his clothes at any given time and it only seemed natural to remove them as he went to save some time later on.

Hearing Ben's voice, however, startled Edward more than he'd ever care to admit. He released a short, quiet sound of surprise, then promptly tripped in the one leg of his pants he was still in, falling first forward, then back, as he frantically tried to steady himself. He ended up on his back on the ground, in a bit of a daze, as he blinked up at the ceiling.

"Knocking wouldn't have been so terrible, no," Edward murmured, evidently uncomfortable. He'd had the wind knocked out of him, after all. Slowly he rose himself up on one arm and ran a hand through his hair. His nakedness, as usual, didn't bother him much, though he was still quite disoriented, and given a few moments, he would probably wise up and remember just what had been done to Ben to make this inappropriate.

With his worry other what he’d done to upset the blonde Shawn barely even heard Leah’s happy cry. Normally he’d have reacted to her and Blake but all his attention was on Ed. Shawn didn’t believe his quick ‘it’s nothing’ for a moment, but before he could say anything Ed turned and went to get changed out of his sleepwear.

Feeling lost and unsure of what to do, if he should leave Ed be or follow him and try prying out what was wrong, Shawn stood there looking at the door. When someone came up he looked over to Ben, but didn’t return his smile. ’Should I leave it to him?’ He wondered, but it didn’t feel right. He should be able to talk with his husband and figure out what was wrong on his own shouldn’t he? Well if Ed would tell him things that would work.

Running a hand through his hair he looked out at the other for a moment and saw Sam giving him an angry look. Feeling even worse he looked away. Today was supposed to be a good day... Not one he ended up upsetting Ed and his sister.

Sighing he looked at the door, still not sure what to do. Should he wait for Ed to get in a better mood, and hope that Ben was helping in there, or just go in as well? Some days he really couldn’t guess at the right thing to do.

Making up his mind Shawn walked the few steps to the door leading inside the airship. Pulling it open he entered. Blinking and flushing a little at what he found in the room Shawn let go of the door and it swung closed behind him. Ed was for some reason sitting, all but naked, at the entrance of the hall leaving the room. With how he was looking at Ben, he wondered if he'd been startled and tripped.

Thinking he should be used to seeing Ed naked by now, Shawn slowly approached. The return of his uncertainties caused the redness over his face to recede. He glanced at Ben for a moment then back at Ed.

"I get you wanted to be left alone and I'll leave again in a moment if you want me to but, I wanted to say I'm sorry." Shawn said quietly, his eyes reflecting his emotions. "I'm not sure just what I did, "he admitted as he watched Ed, "but I never meant to upset you."

He was now about half way into the room and waited to see what Ed would say. If he still wanted to be alone he'd turn around and go back outside.

The door clicked open. All the hairs on Edward's body bristled. His motions ceased all at once, and for a second, he did not breath. Slowly his eyes shifted toward the door.

It was Shawn.

Fuck.

Edward reached for the edge of his pants and slowly pulled them up a bit so that he was covered to at least some degree. He was aware of how bad things might look, and he didn't dare speak.

Especially when Shawn began to talk himself, giving some sort of empty apology. Why was everyone following him? Why couldn't he have some space?

Edward's gaze went back to the ceiling. He remained silent.

Ben had pulled his eyes from Edward, so the first he knew of the man having fell was when he heard him go. Ben couldn't help but look at the man, only to see if he was ok, but the sight he saw was a little more than he actually wanted to see. He could see everything on show and really didn't want to. The boy was now hoping that he had knocked before coming in.

As the man rose himself up slowly, Ben felt a little flustered as everything was still on show, go figure Edward didn't seem to care that he was stark naked. Satisfied that Edward wasn't hurt in any serious way that he could see, and it was only a glance over as to not pry. But Ben noticed that Edward's dememour had changed. Ben turned his head again to see Shawn had entered.

For some reason Shawn's face was flushed. No way the man could be embarrassed at seeing Ed like this? Ben glanced back to Edward, the man was in the process of covering up his parts with his pants. At least that was something to put Ben in a less uncomftable feeling. Ben felt it took him a little longer than he would have liked.

As Shawn spoke, Ben rubbed the back of his neck a little. This was awkward, Edward had seemingly come in here to get away from Shawn, but the man had followed him. But he came up here with a purpose and Shawn being here was possibly not a good idea. Not with how Edward has reacted, Ben looked back to the man, he wasn't looking at him or Shawn, just a gaze directly to the celing. This wouldn't do. Ben had to get Shawn out of here in order to have any chance of even attempting to help Ed.

"I think you should give Edward a little space," Ben stated to Shawn with a nod, hoping the man would understand. "Let me talk to him, I came up here for that reason afterall."

Miles had seen Ben go in after Edward and then Shawn not long behind. He glanced as he heard Mattias speak to Elise and then the woman to reply. It was nice to hear her speak as such about Ben. Miles only hoped that it would happen, it would be a huge shame if the wedding was called off so soon, if indeed it was an issue.

Ed didn’t say anything back… in fact it seemed to him the blonde was trying to act like he wasn’t even here. If kind of felt like when they'd returned to the chosen group... Swallowing a lump that formed in his throat Shawn looked away from Ed. He took the silence to mean he did want him to leave.

’I should have know he’d not want to talk to me when he left like that.’ Shawn though depressed. He realized Ed had moved to cover himself but was hardly thinking or caring why Ed had been like this in the first place. He was just too used to Ed’s ways to have been bothered by it, save for the flush to his skin, even with Ben here. The thought of something going on between the two had never even crossed him mind. Not with how what Ed had done to Ben had eaten at him.

Shawn heard Ben say he should go and leave this to him, and nodded, not bothering to look at the younger boy. Turning he reopened the door and went outside. He looked at everyone still out there. Like Ed he desired to be alone now and started to walk off, not caring if it would make Kresnimon annoyed.

He didn’t notice that Alex was watching him, biting her lip. Or that a small purple digimon with nine tails started to follow him without so a though to if he should or not. Elecmon just felt he should and so went after his partner.

Alex wanted too follow as well, but was held back because she felt he must have wanted to be alone to have also left the group as well. The fact she wasn’t sure if she should be the one to talk to him keep her back too. The fight they’d had was still  in her mind. Seeing Elecmon shadowing the young man set her at ease a little.

Lionessmon just sighed as Shawn come back out only to walk off on his own. She wasn't sure just what was the matter, but hoped it was nothing serious. Only minutes ago everyone had been happy. Looking towards her husband and Neo she wondered if one of them should talk to Ed. They were close to him, but decided not to ask unless Ben too come out looking upset.

Shawn stopped once he’d gotten out of sight of the others, but was still within hearing distance if anyone shouted. He stood there just looking out at the sky, trying yet again to figure out what he’d done. The only thing he could think of was it had to do something with him either saying it was too bad they couldn’t just dump right in to the ceremony, or his question about god that lived here. He couldn't understand why either would make Ed so upset with him.

Sighing he sat down on the grass and wondered at the point of even trying to figure it out. Most of the time he never could understand what upset Ed. That didn’t make his pain any less though and a small fear started to take hold. He knew Ed was doing this for him… What…what if Ed was upset enough with him, he’d decided he didn’t want to do the human marriage ceremony anymore?

Not wanting to think about it, Shawn tried to banish the thought. This past week he’d thought Ed was a excited and as happy to be getting ready for this as he’d been. He didn’t want to think he’d just call it off. It hurt too much.

As he sat there he dimly realized he wasn’t alone and looked down at Elecmon that had at some point sat down next to him. Elecmon didn’t say anything, didn’t ask him what had happened. He just settled his head on his paws after a few moments.

Shawn realized he was just here to keep him company, though he was sure that if he decided to speak the purple furred foxish digimon would be happy to talk with him.

Feeling a little comforted Shawn closed his eyes and just tried to stop worrying. Maybe after he’d left Ben had been able to talk to Ed. If hurt that he’d not been able to, but for now he just hoped Ed would talk to someone and not let whatever was bothering him eat him up.

Ben did not take his eyes of Shawn, afterall he wasn't entirely sure how the man would take the suggestion that he leave. Ben felt a little guilty as Shawn nodded and turned. Ben watched him go all the way to the door and out without saying a word. Ben didn't know how Shawn had taken it. But he hadn't challanged what had been sent and had done as requested. Ben hoped he understood.

Ben's shoulders dropped a little, not having realised they had been so uptight. His attention turned back to Ed, his face a little more relaxed at being up here. Ben wanted to give Edward the chance to relax before trying to find out what happened. But if the man would that was anyone's guess. But there was one more thing that Ben thought would help, that would be for Ed to pull up his pants in full and to not be on the floor like he was. Ben doubted that it was all that comfortable.

Ben walked towards the man, with a look of concern on his face.

"You going to be ok getting up?" he asked. "You went with quite a trip. Maybe once you're up we can talk about why you're looked so gloomy after such exciting news."

Miles saw Shawn come out of the blimp alone and wondered if something had happened inside, the man hadn't been in there all that long afterall. He didn't get a chance to ask him as he went off alone..well or so he thought as alone, Miles saw Elecmon following. Miles wasn't worried about Shawn getting hurt around here, it didn't seem like the place, but he was worried about the potential for him having second thoughts.

Fang and Wizarmon had also seen Shawn leave, but noted that Ben wasn't behind him.

"Wonder why Shawn has come out and not Ben," the wizard pondered to Fang. "I would have thought that Edward would have wanted Shawn there?"

"Hard to say," Fang responded. "Ben is friends with Ed afterall. He wouldn't have gone up there afterall. Maybe both Ed and Shawn need a little time after their annoucement. Best not to worry about it."

Outside, Sam was satisfied that Shawn had finally decided to do the husbandly thing and go check on Edward...but then he came right back out again. Ben was still in there, though. Huh...that's...you'd think he'd rather have Shawn in there. Did he and Shawn have some sort of fight? The two of them had seemed okay, even happy, during the announcement, and Shawn seemed just as confused as she was. After all, if you didn't want the guy you were going to marry there, then who would be able to fix things?

Sam looked towards the door, wondering if she should go in there to see what was going on. Ben was still inside, and she had to wonder what was going on. She instead settled upon a different approach. Trying to look as casual as possible, sam walked over to Shawn, and she quietly asked, "Hey, what's going on in there? Is everything okay?" She tried not to sound accusatory or anything; at this point, she was just kind of concerned.

Also irritated that Ben was not out there with her, but that was beside the point.

Mattias considered Elise's total lack of concern over Edward's behavior, and he nodded in agreement. "Yeah, I guess you're right." Really, she was about a great many things...not that he'd ever tell her that, of course.

Ben seemed to have sent Shawn on his way. All it took was two gently spoken sentences, though Edward felt slightly put off that Ben had come up to talk to him in lieu of Shawn. It was frustrating that no one seemed to respect when he felt he needed time alone. It was nearly impossible to find some privacy.

And Ben wasted no time (of course...) in coming over to him and trying to exert that annoying 'let me help you' type vibe.

"I can do it," Edward said quietly, defensively, as he sat himself up fully, then starting bringing himself to his feet. His hand held his pants only loosely now, and in fact, when he was righted, he stepped out of them. Shawn was gone. There was no need to cover up anymore, though he did turn himself away from Ben, mildly aware that it probably wasn't something Ben was overly keen on seeing.

Though if it drove the boy away, he wouldn't mind that either . . .

With that in mind, Edward chose not to entertain Ben's comment about talking about why he was upset. He merely began to walk the halls, intending to go up to his and Shawn's room to put on some clothes.

Outside, Kresnimon had watched Shawn come down the stairs and start off into the distance. He gritted his teeth, and began to follow him, but Lucifer held out his arm and held Kresnimon's steady.

"He's not going far," Lucifer said. "He just needs a quiet moment."

"We need to be leaving soon," Kresnimon said.

"I know. I'll go talk to him, okay? Leave it to me!"

With a flourishing smile, Lucifer turned from Kresnimon and started after Shawn. On the way, he chose to evolve into his adult form. He thought that if Shawn was upset, something more similar to an adult, to his normal form, would comfort him more than a child.

He spotted Shawn and Elecmon in  clearing, and so when he approached and came up on Shawn's other side, Lucifer flopped himself onto his back, landing in the grass with a soft thud. He spread his wings a little, letting the soft feathers of his angelic side brush up against Shawn. Then he put his hands behind his head, turned his gaze toward his friend, and smiled.

"Nice spot you found here," he said. "Great view between the trees."

"All right, the rest of you get your asses over here," Kresnimon said, speaking loudly, but not quite shouting. "We've wasted enough time. We need to get our bearings together and prepare to meet the seer!"

Ben frowned to himself as Edward responded to him, without accepting the offer to help. Still at least Ed was able to get up and wasn't seemingly hurt after his fall. What the man did next made Ben feel a little uncomfortable. Couldn't he really have waited? At least he had turned himself away, for which Ben was thankful for.

As Edward started to walk down the halls, Ben gave a slight sigh to himself. Edward had chosen to keep quite. At first Ben didn't realise why, until it came to him. The conversation he had with Kresnimon. Well that explained it. But Ben wasn't going ot be put off, he started to follow Ed down the halls. The boy didn't have a clear view of Edward's rear. The man's hair was long enough to give somewhat of a veil over it. There was still a little on show, the general outline, but it wasn't as bad as it could have been. Not that it would have bothered Ben as much it once had.

Ben caught up to Edward before giving a small wry smile.  "The last time i met you in the halls, you were on about me and Sam going to find the bedrooms for..well reasons that were not exactly correct."

Miles watched Lucifer go after Shawn, not that he could do anything to help there. Not with Kresnimon giving out his orders. That was one Digimon that he wasn't going to laze around not obeying. Turning his attention away from where Lucifer had gone, Miles started to head towards Kresnimon, standing a little away from the god. He didn't want to be too close to him afterall.

Fang smiled as Lucifer went after Shawn. He had to wonder if the ex-god felt if he had a sense duty or not. Even if he didn't, it was still heart-warming to see. As Kresnimon spoke, Fang glanced over to him.

"At that," he mused, clearly having forgotten, before getting up.

Wizarmon wasn't all that far behind him. Leave it to Kresnimon to blow the mood even more by telling them they needed to get ready to go in his way.

Edward tried to ignore the sounds of Ben's footsteps while he walked, but soon the boy was right up there beside him, talking about how the last time they'd met in a hall he'd gotten the wrong impression about his feelings for Sam.

To this Edward spared Ben a short, vaguely amused glance. He quickly turned it back forward as they neared the stairwell.

"I think that sometimes you forget that I am a man too," he said as put a hand on the railing. "I know you think about her like that, because I still think about you like that sometimes, and when I was your age, anything and everything set my mind into a whirlwind. Try to cover it up all you like, but she's the only girl remotely your age here, so it's completely logical for that stuff to be going through your head. And I still stad by my decision.
