Kresnimon managed to pry Lucifer from his lips, after which he gave him a rather sharp, but obviously fake, glare. "Knock it off, you're ruining my image."

"Image-schmimage, you need to lighten up, Gabe." Lucifer turned toward those who were gathered, and grinned a little cheekily at the way they'd been responding. Faint rosy cheeks. Some obviously thinking about other things. It made him positively giddy.

"We really do need to get going," Kresnimon insisted.

"Let's go then," Lucifer said, looking back to him. "No need to be so formal. Not like we're going to the executioner. It's Chronomon. He's supposed to be really nice!"

"Considering how few have met him I'm wary to bank on any particular interpretation . . ."

Shawn really was pretty worked up and happy, though he was starting to get a little intrusive again. Edward didn't think it was a bad thing, but it wasn't exactly something he wanted to share. Did Shawn not understand the concept of privacy?

"I think we ought to get going," Edward said timidly, flashing a weak smile. "Kresnimon's been waiting, and we don't want to keep the Seer."

“Right.” Shawn agreed and started for the others with Ed. His eyes went over the God who’d been kissed by Lucifer. He didn’t seeming that irritated, even if he sent a glare at the demonic angel. Still they really shouldn’t hold up going to see the Seer any longer.

Having already joined the group around Kresnimon while his partner had gone to kiss his husband Elecmon was only half paying attention to what they were doing now. He was letting his eyes wonder around the island, wondering where they’d be going to meet with Chronomon.

Alex was happy there was no more kissing going around now and looked over towards Ed and Shawn, a little impatient for them to get over here. She’d rather get going then have to watch people kiss. It mostly frustrated her as she was trying to not let it get to her and wasn’t succeeding very well. She just couldn’t help her feelings of jealousy. She felt she was doing ok in accepting the two where together and that she couldn’t steal Shawn away from Ed somehow.

After her night with Ed and the consciences of her behavior she’d finally given up on that. But changing one’s self wasn’t a simple thing to do… So even if she didn’t want to be, she was still jealous to see them together like that.

Sam gave Ben a smile when he said whatever they had said worked. "I could've told you the same thing."

She was somewhat keeping an eye on her brother and Shawn, but it seemed as though they were doing well enough. That was good; she didn't want to pay too much attention to them if she had to. Not with Ben there.

Mira was starting to turn up her mandibles at all the icky kissing and such. Even Kunemon was getting sort of snuggly with Jewels, which, in Mira's life, had been cause to go to another room and start playing with some toys or something because they'd get all sappy and not-fun.

Kresnimon was starting to say they should get going now, which was enough to get Sam's attention. She was curious to see this Chronomon, and she knew

On impulse, Sam reached her hand over and took a hold of Ben's. If you wanted something in this world, you needed to go for it, right? Besides, it wasn't like that was the first time they'd held hands. They'd done so while they explored the blimp, after all. "Shall we go, then?"

Ben couldn't help but smile as Sam replied to him, though is attention wasn't on the girl for the moment, it was on Kresnimon and Lucifer. It was amusing to see how the pair, well mainly Kresnimon, were acting. It was hard, but he managed to supress a smirk. The cheeky part of him really wanted to say something, but likely wouldn't go down well at all.

Still the god was now insisting that they get going. Figured he wouldn't want to wait much longer. Ben was ready to go, that was until Sam took hold of his hand. This was getting a pretty common occurance between them and something Ben was comfortable with. He smiled as the girl suggested they go. He looked to the girl and nodded.

"We'd better," he answered. "I don't want to keep anyone waiting." Then he lowered his voice a little so only Sam could here, a small grin now on his face. "Especially the lover that is Kresnimon."

Miles felt that Lucifer was being fairly cheeky. Chances were that only he could speak to Kresnimon like that and get away with it. It would be a while before Miles would think of Kresnimon any other way than scary. Though with how Kresnimon went onto speak that he was wary. Well that was just great, it didn't exactly inspire him to want to go to see the seer. Not that he had a choice.

Fang had kept watching Alex to see if the girl was going to be ok. He didn't know if she would be or not there wasn't going to be time to ask her, Kresnimon was ready to go and anyone with any sense would not hold him up.

"Then let's get moving," Wizarmon stretched before giving a slight smile. "Maybe we can get some answers and then have some relax time." It would be nice at least, maybe Ed and Shawn could talk a little more.

Seeing as Shawn had started walking off almost as soon as Edward had finished speaking, he felt that he'd better follow along. He also felt like he'd upset Shawn again, but he felt that Shawn needed to learn the definition of privacy. He was far too prying lately. He didn't need to know everything. Couldn't he just let things come out as they were meant to?

While they walked across the virgin land, following Kresnimon at the helm, Edward wondered, not for the first time, if his bad habits had rubbed off on Shawn. Before going off to fight Grandracmon's war he had been pretty forceful and pushy himself. Like how he'd coerced Shawn into sleeping with him, and how manipulative he'd been about getting married. Edward shook his head and forced himself not to think about it. Of course it hadn't worked that way. Shawn had always been like this. Edward was the one who hadn't been paying attention and had missed it.

Though the trees and brush and foliage was not overgrown, it was dense and beautiful, and grew more colorful as the procession drew nearer to the shrine at the opposite edge of the floating island.

The shrine was brilliantly white, marble bricks reflecting off the sun's rays. There was a pond to the right of the building, and cobble stepping stones formed the path up to the stone stairs at the base of the shrine.

There was undeniable energy emanating from within the shrine. It was mild at first, but grew in strength the closer one got. It was pure warmth. It was peace. Tranquility. It was authority. Respect. It was unnerving. There was a great sense of truth. As if there were no wrongs in the world.

The feeling did not last. One's body would grow accustomed to the aura. Absorb it. Become one with the spirit of the great god. It was how he recognized visitors. He met with their very souls.

Ben had been more than happy to walk along holding Sam's hand. The beauty of their surroundings had somewhat been taken in, but nothing could prepare him for the beauty of the shrine and it's area. That was something else. At first Ben had to lift his free hand to shield his eyes as one of the rays was aiming towards him. They had of course been to several shrines in their time, but none mirroed the stunning nature that was before him.

As they got closer, Ben found himself very content. A great feeling was there with him. A similar sort of feeling that he had when he was holding Sam's hand, but more powerful. Who would have thought that such a wonderful place could still exist with Grandracmon's brutality.

"Hard to know what to say about such a stunning place," Ben blinked smiling.

Miles had gasped when he saw the shrine. If he hadn't have ever been in the valley, he would have thought this shrine to be the gate to heaven and that would have been his court as to if he would be allowed in. This seer certainly had style.

The feeling that he had as he grew closer was almost like when he died, that was until he grew accustomed to it. He could only nod as to what his son had said. Sometimes words could not respond to it.

Wizarmon had been humming as they approached towards the shrine next to Fang. It was clear that this was putting her in a good mood and even Fang had a slight spring in his step. Even as they saw the shrine their upbeat mood continued. That was until Fang felt the aura. While it was pleasent at first, it was the falsehood that it somewhat created. Grandracmon was alive and still wanting them, even though he couldn't apparently get to them here. It was almost a shame really and he frowned a little. They would eventually have to leave this island and go back to face the reality. But in a way, this was proof on how the world could be, once everything was back to normal.

Sam stifled a giggle when Ben called Kresnimon a "lover." If the god heard, they'd probably be so, so very screwed. She was clearly quite amused by that.

The walk over was beautiful, and she rather enjoyed it. It was a definite change of pace from the scenery they had been accustomed to, and it was nice to be able to walk and relax without worrying about keeping the blimp aloft and running.

When they arrived at the shrine, Sam was already feeling peaceful. Arriving there to that aura? That was something else. The land was beautiful and tranquil, and her family was together again. Ed had come back and brought along a new brother-in-law too, her parents were there, her partners were there...and Ben was there. The aura of truth blunted the teenage nerves, the anxiety that she might have felt on some level at walking around there hand-in-hand with her crush.

"Yeah," Sam agreed when Ben said he didn't know what to say about the place. "It's amazing."

Kunemon felt herself growing peaceful as well, and she didn't fight that one bit. She was glad for it. It even seemed to relax Jewels, of all people, and anything that could make him relax was a mighty force indeed. Even little Mira seemed awed by it.

Mattias found himself feeling an unusual sense of peace as well...he figured he'd been dead for a while the last time he'd felt that much at peace with things. Still, the feeling and surroundings were amazing.

Edward wasn't sure what to expect approaching the shrine, but the effect upon entering the vicinity was not unwelcome.

He'd met with many gods in his lifetime, but this was unlike anything he'd ever experienced before. Being around Lucemon before he'd been killed had come close, but Chronomon was a seer, the god of seers; he knew all, he saw all; that's what Edward assumed, at least, and the result was something truly amazing--a being who was at peace with himself and the world, a being who knew that everything would turn out all right, somehow, a being who would be content if he were to die at that moment.

Such certainty, such unquestionable bravery, was inspiring for Edward. He stood still while those feelings washed over him. He felt at peace, like Chronomon was. And then the feeling passed, and Edward felt surprisingly empty. It was the strangest feeling. He had no cares. He had no troubles. He thought back to his time with Grandracmon and laughed inside. It was like none of it even mattered. What was he doing with his life?

He gazed toward Shawn. He'd given him such a hard time today. In trying to be a better husband, he'd still ended up hurting him, by having that bad attitude and acting like Shawn wasn't allowed to ask questions.

Edward approached him and slid his right hand into his left. He smiled slightly, then nuzzled slightly against the other man. He felt such great content that he could have remained there like that for all eternity. He would not give Shawn a hard time anymore. Something told him there was no need. They were in this together. It was time to start acting like it.

As the shine came into view and the aura around it hit the group Shawns worries and fears seemed to melt away. It was a wonderful feeling. To feel at peace and be sure everything was going to turn out right, regardless of what would happen in the future. It reminded him a bit of the feeling Lucimon could inspire before his death. Looking over at the demonic angle Shawn smiled a little at the memories. Here and know they didn’t upset him to remember or cause him to wish for the god he’d known.

After the feeling faded Shawn felt his hand be taken hold of before Ed lightly pressed up against him. Tilting his head to look at the shorter blond Shawn gently squeezed Ed’s hand in return and smiled at him. His worries over what was bothering Ed were gone for the time. Right now it just didn’t matter as they were together and it seemed everything would be fine.

The Feeling of peace had a big effect on Alex. As soon as it came over her she stopped worrying about Edward, Shawn, and herself. What reason was there to worry over it, when everything would turn of how it was meant to be?

Feeling more content then she’d likely even been Alex smiled at the two men as they held hands. Together like that they seemed so right for each other, and Alex wondered how she couldn’t have see it before. Touching her stomach lightly she even felt the loss of being able to bear children for now wasn’t as bad a thing. No, because of it she was finally learning to be a better person.

While most everyone else was having reactions to the aura emitted by Chronomon, Kresnimon was staring at them like they'd spouted a few extra heads. He felt the presence of the god for certain, but he didn't understand why they were all so out of it, like they'd been sniffing benadryl. Even Lucifer had been effected, and it usually took a whole lot of effort to calm him down when he was excited.

Thankfully, the numbing effect wore off, and one by one the group began returning to normal. Lucifer fell out of his trance, and approached Kresnimon, still looking a little stoned. "I feel like I've just seen God," he said mystically. Then he giggled, and jabbed Kresnimon in the shoulder. "Get it?"

Kresnimon managed to suppress a twitch of irritation. It hadn't taken long for Lucifer to return to normal at all.

"Hush up and follow me," Kresnimon said to him, then gazed out at the rest of the group. "We're going inside. Be on your best behavior. This creature is powerful and must be respected!"

Kresnimon was the first to step through the glass dome from the stone pathway, and he was the one to open the massive double doors as well, revealing an inner chamber as tall as the building was wide, and just as shiny and brilliant as it was on the outside.

And floating there in the middle of the shrine, in the midst of a fountain of water cascading down from the ceiling, was the god they had come to visit, the seer, Chronomon, his head bowed, his eyes closed, his wings joined together in the center to create the illusion of the corona of a shining sun.

Chronomon opened his eyes, revealing hazel marbles that seemed to stare into one's soul. "I have been waiting," he said, speaking without moving his beak, his voice filtering through the minds of his visitors. "Welcome."

Everyone else seemed to be feeling the effects of the energies of the place. Even Edward seemed to be relaxing, snuggling into Shawn. Shawn seemed to be responding in much the same way.

Kresnimon, as usual, was a bit snappish with them, but the lingering effects of the aura meant Sam didn't even bother to mentally roll her eyes. She couldn't have cared less how cranky he was with them today, not now.

Sam felt she was pretty well accustomed to meeting gods at this point. She'd been raised by one, and the group had been traveling with them for quite some time. Still, meeting Chronomon was an experience she'd not soon forget. The god there was, for lack of any other word she could think of, magnificent. His eyes were both unsettling and reassuring at the same time. It felt like he knew them, had to know them. And he was welcoming them, at least.

"Thank you," she said quietly, politely, inclining her head in a slight bow as she did so. To do so otherwise seemed like it would have been horribly impolite, and really, she did not want to offend Chronomon in the least. Not when he was letting them stay here like this.

Ben was pleased that Sam had agreed with him and the boy could not help but smile when he caught sight of Edward nuzzling up to Shawn and the other man returning the love. As Ben started to come back to reality, he saw Kresnimon staring at them. That was not a nice feeling in the slighest and slightly unnerving. Still Lucifer was causing some light relief and distract Kresnimon, well kind of.

Ben couldn't help but gave a slight sigh to himself as he spoke. He didn't need to be told twice but Wizarmon may. The wizard had only just come round and caught the look from Ben. He didn't need to worry and she gave him a nod to confirm that she would behave.

They followed Kresnimon into the shrine and Ben was amazed by what he saw. Sure he'd been in several shrines but none had managed to take his breath away more than this one. The god himself was just as aw inspiring as the building. Though when the god opened his eyes it made Ben wonder for a few seconds if this god was everything he seemed to be.

Ben blinked a few moments after the god has spoken. He had not moved his beak but yet his voice had been clear in his mind. It took a few moments to realise exactly what the god had done and when Sam spoke he realised it hadn't only just been his head.

"It's a pleasure," Ben nodded after the girl.

Miles was unnerved a little by Chronomon's look, it wasn't that he was scary in a bad way. It was just that he had only been around Kresnimon, Valkyrimon; both of whom were scary in their own ways, especially the former) and Piemon. The latter being almost insane in the man's eyes.

More concerned with Ed and the beautiful building they were heading too Shawn didn’t really notice that Kresnimon was staring at the lot of them. Elecmon noticed, but thanks to the aura of the place he didn’t even twitch a tail over it. Even if he hadn’t been under the places influence he likely wouldn’t have been overly worried. The god gave them looks all the time, and rarely did it worry the purple digimon.

When they arrived Lionessmon gazed in aw at the God. She’d be around other seers before, but this was much different then Sakuyamon. She was before the god of Seers now. She wasn’t fearful or anything but felt so small in his presence. He knew this that no one else did. She moved closer to her devolved husband, wanting to be with him.

Shawn was wow’d too as the god spoke in his mind to welcome them. As he’s normally felt at easy around the various gods they’d meet, Chronomon was no exception. Still holding Ed’s hand Shawn smiled up at the bird like good. “It’s a honor to meet you.”

It seemed like most of the humans were greeting Chronomon with reverence. It would have been a nice touch if they weren't coming off so . . . fake.

That's how Kresnimon felt, at least. It's not that he doubted what they were saying, but the way it was coming out was like they were drunk. He fought the urge to shake his head. He didn't exactly want to come off like a dick in front of Chronomon either.

Chronomon, for his part, was proving to be something of an enigma. He didn't move. He didn't even blink. His bird-like eyes just stared at them. No further voice echoed in any mind. He was like a doll. Inanimate. Unreal.

Quite possibly Edward was the least affected. He was used to the unthinkable at this point in his life, and little surprised him anymore. He said nothing, but his silence was one of respect. He wasn't sure how to approach this creature, and he was content to let things play out as they would. He looked to the others to see what they would do.

Shawn echoed similar comments to his and Sam's, but Edward did not. Ben felt it a little strange. Maybe the boy was feeling uncomfortable after his time with Grandracmon? Being in the presence of a new god so soon. He wasn't going to pry though. It was Ed's choice afterall.

The god had said he had been waiting, that stood to reason with Kresnimon having being in contact with the god. But how much had Kresnimon informed Chronomon? Ben didn't know for sure, nor did the boy want to push it and declare why they were here. Kresnimon didn't appear as if he was going to say anything, unless he was doing a mind connection thing with the god in a similar way that Chronomon had with them.

"Your island is impressive," Ben nodded to the god curtly. "The slight time of peace is rather welcome after our recent events."
