The Legend of Zelda
Shades of Despair

The Premise

The Hylian empire is vast, sprawling across an entire continent, which it is the center of. King and Queen Hyrule keep peace even with other Kingdoms that lie on the outskirts of their own, trading with and aiding them in their times of need as opposed to decimating them for domination of the continent.

As such, the borders of the Kingdom of Hyrule are open for all to traverse, so much so that a yearly festival is held out near the center of the plains, by Lon Lon Ranch, every Spring. This Harvest Festival of Sorts lasts for an entire week, and species and people from all over the continent travel there to attend, some even setting up tents a short distance away and camping for the duration of the nights.

And this is how the story begins. The Festival is due to open any day now, and you have decided to attend. Maybe this is your first time, maybe not, but you know you are excited at the prospect of traveling so far to mingle with the people of all kingdoms.

Unbeknownst to you, however, dark forces have been gathering, waiting for this very moment to strike. In the heat of the Festival, a mysterious man and his forces will invade Hyrule, raid the festival, and lay siege to the castle. The whereabouts of the the Royal Family will thereafter be unknown.

With the Kingdom of Hyrule having fallen to this Dark Force, the people look to stories of a legendary hero for hope. However, this hero does not appear, and the people become depressed and entrapped in despair. It seems like it is only a matter of time before the Royal Family are found, executed, and the Great Prophecy is fulfilled, which will forever blanket the land in darkness.

Rise to the call of adventure. The future is in your hands.

((Just to be sure, the RP will start before the invasion of the festival with no one having expected it to happen.))

The Rules

1: Each player may have 1 character. If a player wishes to have a second character or a common NPC, permission must be granted first by the GM. Depending on what you want to play, I might allow a second. Just ask first.

2: Do not God-Mod or Power Play without being granted explicit permission by the user in question. This should be discussed via Pms or on the discussion thread. Preferably the latter so that we all know.

3: Do not post OOC messages in the RP thread. Any questions or comments regarding the RP should go in this discussion thread.

4: Do not double, triple, or etc post in either the RP or the discussion thread. This is spam. I do not like spam. Do not spam my RP. The edit button exists for a reason.

Note: Special permissions may be granted based on posting capability. (Modified in lieu of 2cows)

5: Do not post single sentence or single paragraph posts in the RP. This is also spam. I do not like spam. Do not spam my RP. Give your posts sustenance, or do not bother posting at all.

Note: This rule exists so that the RP won't turn into what the last one was. I want us to have fun, but I also want us to write the best that we can. Challenge yourselves!

6: Ice likes cats.

7: Do NOT make things up about other characters, about the overall story, or about what happens to be laying around or being provided by other characters. Making minor, I repeat, minor NPCs is just fine, but never make up a salesman, schemer, or enemy without asking me first. I am the GM, and I will be controlling most aspects of the story. If I do my job right, you shouldn't need to make things up anyway. If there is ever a request, it should go in the discussion thread.

8: Do not spring a surprise on us in the RP that has not been either covered in the application or been told to me first. I do not like secrets or surprises in Rps. I like to know what I'm dealing with. If someone decides to reveal in RP that he is the Hero of Time without even asking or saying so in the application, that will be a cut. Don't test me.

9: Posts must be of a reasonable length. I'm not saying you have to write a book, but posts must, must, must be long enough to accommodate reactions to any posts before your own, and to implement actions, thoughts, and behaviors of your own character.

10: My word is LAW (zomg!). If I say no to something, or if I decide something, you will abide by it. I don't want to sit here arguing with anyone over how things should go. I decide things with the best interest of the RP in mind, so please be understanding.

11: I have the right to add any rule at any time. Check this section often.

UPDATED 1/27/11 to make the rules a bit more kind.

Playable Species

Deku Scrubs – Short, roundish plant-like creatures who have the ability to shoot bubbles of spit and hop about on the surface of water. They live near forests and bodies of waters, especially swamp or marsh land. Their diets are generally made up of brush, bark, and berries. Because of their short arms and legs, they are somewhat slow and are unable to wield most traditional weapons. However, they are agile because of their size, and they are able to sneak around more easily than most other species, being able to hide beneath their head of leaves and pretend to be a bush.

Fairies – Tiny, hand sized humanoids who have wings on their backs and are adept healers. They generally do not give off light, except for their wings. Fairies are generally a helpful species, living on their own, but aiding those who happen upon them if treated kindly. Some other species have taken to trapping fairies in bottles to harness their magical abilities against their will. Fairies are most commonly found living in small objects, such as pots or a hidden crevice in rock or a wood. They mostly eat a diet of small berries and leaves, though they are sometimes known to kill and eat insects. Being sprites of nature, fairies are generally attractive looking, have long hair, translucent wings, and generally do not wear clothes.

Gerudo – A desert dwelling race of the sun, Gerudos are a hardy, well-worn species with a peculiar biological anomaly. Almost all Gerudos are born female. A Gerudo needs a man to conceive a child, but their eggs behave in a strange, “stubborn” way, absorbing the sperm of a male, but generally rejecting a donated chromosome that would produce a male child. When an egg is fertilized with a female chromosome, the newly formed zygote replicates the Gerudo genes onto the donor's genes, producing a child who is not necessarily a clone, but has primarily Gerudo characteristics. Males can be born, but it is not very common. When they are, they are either treated with great respect, or great contempt. Their skin tends to be tan and their hair is primarily red or orange. Their diets are similar to Hylians or Humans, being able to eat meat, fruit, vegetables, fish, or man-made items such as cheese.

Goron – Large, brown golem like creatures who primarily live in mountains or near volcanic regions. Gorons thrive in the heat and are known to bath in natural hot springs that would easily scald a Hylian. Although they can grow to great sizes and look intimidating, Gorons are a generally peaceful race, and can be counted upon for their brute strength during times of crises or for construction purposes. Because they are so heavy, Gorons do not do well in deep bodies of water. They can, however, hold their breath for great periods of time, which has saved many a Goron who has fallen over the side of a ship or off a dock. Because they are a peaceful race, Gorons generally do not train in weapons, but know martial arts and various forms of defensive behaviors. Gorons eat rocks to survive, meaning their food source is abundant and plentiful. A Goron rarely starves to death. Gorons have the ability to curl up into a ball and roll around. However, they are somewhat slow to walk, and cannot run very well.

Humans – Bidpedal creatures with little hair on their bodies, but much on their head. They are the most abundant species that populates the world. They are also the most varied when it comes to personality and behavior, as well as how many species they are capable of breeding with. Unlike Hylians, Humans have no magical energy within them, and so cannot wield or utilize magical artifacts. They are, however, wonderful at killing things, and have the most advanced weaponry arsenal of any species. Their diets are generally the same as the Gerudo and the Hylians. Humans live almost anywhere, adapting themselves to climates generally by adjusting their amount of clothes. Humans tend to be destructive, invading other species's habitates, debilitating natural resources, and killing wild animals.

Hylian – Similar to humans, but much different as well. Humans “devolved” from Hylians, a result of generations of breeding and moving away from the Kingdom of Hyrule. Hylians are a more peaceful, jovial species by nature and tend to be opposed to fighting unless necessarily. Hylians have magical energy coursing through their body, and are able to use magical artifacts that are scattered throughout the land. Rarely, a Hylian can become a witch or wizard, but such magic takes years upon years to master, and so most Hylians can do little more than light a candle at whim. Because of their magical properties, Hylian genes are not compatible with most species. Hylians have pointed ears and generally pale skin and bright hair. Their diets are similar to humans. They are able to live in a multitude of regions as well, but they tend to be more respectful of the nature around them, as well as other species.

Kokiri – Long believed to be a race of children who never grew old, Kokiri are actually dwarf-like creatures with some of the same properties as fairies. They do grow up, and they can produce children, but their bodies rarely grow more than that of a Hylian child. They have a deep connection to the Earth and to the Lost Woods, a mystical place where dark magic is thought to originate. Because of their smaller size, they cannot wield many of the larger weapons used by adults, but they are able to wield daggers like swords, and they are quite adept with a sling shot. Their diets consist primarily of fruit and vegetables, rarely consuming livestock. Because of their connection with nature, Fairies are naturally drawn to the Kokiri, and are often seen accompanying these individuals as familiars.

Rito – Humanoid in appearance, the Rito also have some marks of a bird, such as a beak in place of a nose and feathers. Although Rito can not fly when they are born, their wings develop as they mature, and most Rito are able to fly for fair distances by the time they become mature. Full grown Rito can carry people around for short periods of time, and can fly greater distances before becoming exhausted. They are a humble people, respectful of nature despite their carnivorous feeding habits. Rito eat fruit and nuts, but primarly prey upon smaller birds or rodents. When it comes to a fight, they often utilize their natural weapons, but they are also known to use bows or throwing spears. The Rito live in the mountains or in forests and woods.

Zoras – A species that live primarily beneath the sea, Zoras are humanoid fish-men who can breath in water as well as on land. They have legs and arms, and hands and feet, which are webbed to allow them to swim in the water. They also have fins on their arms and a tail of sorts hanging from their hands to help them maneuver when swimming. Although they mostly live underwater, Zora can survive on land for long amounts of time without having to dip into the sea to moisturize their scales. Their diets primarily consist of fish, although they can digest some fruit and vegetables as well. Their clawed hands are generally sufficient to catch their meals, but they often use spears to aid the process. While Zoras are peaceful, they are not obsessed with nature like some other species, and they do not feel bad to kill to live.

--More races may be added based on requests. Ask first if there is a race not mentioned here that you want.--

The Application

Name – (First and last please. Real ones, also.)

Age – (May range from 10-50, but keep in mind age will affect skill level and endurance.)

Sex – (Male or female. I don't want an all male cast, so let's try and have some balance.)

Species - (Choose one of the above and make a character based upon it. Try not to choose a race that others have chosen so we can get some variation. I'll allow 1-3 of each race, depending on their size and abilities, and interest.)

Personality – (How does your character behave in particular circumstances? The more you write, the more I know about the character.)

Appearance – (What does your character look like? Minor species variations are acceptable but nothing drastic. Do not post a picture in place of this section. Write it out.)

History – (Describe the life of your character. Don't mention specific locations, as I'm still developing those and the map, but talk about how it was like growing up, what sort of region it was, if the character lives with another species now, etc. The more detail, the better. This should not be overly tragic, and this should not include anything over the top that makes your character too special. Give me an average Joe.)

Special Abilities – (Note any sort of skills are special knowledge your character has. This means if Mr. Hylian knows how to use a sword, say so, but you'd better already have explained it in the history section first.)

Inventory – (Items currently in your character's possession. If your character has held a job, he might have a fair number of rupees. If he enjoys archery, he'd probably have a bow. Be reasonable with these items. Don't try and power play. Please note, I really do not want warriors or characters highly skilled in weapons, and should someone show up to the festival with a dangerous weapon, he would not he permitted to enter.)

What does Ice like? (Go on, answer it.)

Role Play Sample – (Wow me. I want to see your very best. This is what I expect each and every one of your posts to be—the best. I want to see thoughts, description, and emotion. I also want to see a couple paragraphs. Don't have to write a book, but give me enough to prove you can handle your character.)[/b]

They are intelligent creatures and can pick up the language of other species without much effort.

Like-Like - A fully grown leever whose skin has hardened and turned yellow. Its body is elongated and has rows of spikes along its worm-like body. Its mouth is malleable and soft, with tentacles lining the rim inside to grab prey with and drag inside. The Like-Like is not concerned with chewing prey, for the acids and enzymes inside its body quickly digest its meals to a slurry like consistency.

Re-Dead - Reanimated corpses brought to a mild level of sentience by magical energy either latent in the earth or performed by magically inclined living creature. Re-dead flesh is rotted and darkened to a brownish yellow color. Their muscles are unnaturally powerful, being imbued with magical energy, and allow a Re-Dead to grasp onto its prey with a grip of death. They feed on the flesh of the living, but are not particular about what species they feed on. Only humanoids are able to be infected with the "virus" however and only they will "propagate the species."

My two primary characters, Elister and Nikolai.

Spoiler for Elister Nalani:
Age – 23

Sex – Male

Species - Zora

Personality – Elister can seem strange to others. While he is a gentle creature, he often seems withdrawn, like he wouldn't want to speak to other people (this is generally when he's off on his own, playing his music and ignoring other people). This is exactly the opposite though. He's a real friendly guy, as well as a flirtatious one. Though it's landed him in trouble on more than one ocassion, he's not afraid to have a bit of fun and go against convention.

When he isn't trying to get himself laid, he spends most of his free time above the water on the shore of Lake Hylia, where he plays his flute, sometimes for fun, and sometimes for a passing audience, though usually only for children. Since he fled Zora's Domain after having lured his "bedmates" with his music, he hadn't felt any desire to play the instrument for adults.

Elister is a fan of pretty things. Music, flowers, men--anything that looks aesthetically pleasing, or sounds gentle and emotional, he likes. Although this may seem shallow, he is not necessarily so. He simply appreciates the blessed senses of sight and hearing. And touch. Can't forget touch.

Appearance – Elister looks quite a bit like most other zoras. He is tall, but not towering. His muscles aren't as well developed as others of his kind as he doesn't spend as much time training physically or hunting. His scales, instead of the more common blue of his species, are dark purple. His eyes are the same color. His skin and scales can appear a bit dried out sometimes as he spends long periods of time on land before he returns to the sea for the nourishing water he needs to survive. He's generally seen carrying a woven seaweed messenger bag, as well as a shell necklace around his neck.

History – Elister was born in an offshoot of the majestic mountain lake, Zora's Domain. He was the middle child of five, being born two and a half years after girls Miranda and Jocelyn.

Being the first born male, he was expected to one day take the place of his father when the man was no longer around. Little was said or done about this for quite some time, and even as twins Andrew and Sandy were born, he was still considered to be the heri to his clan.

When he turned five, his father began instructing Elister in the art of hunter, equipping the boy with a tiny spear made of flint and drift wood and teaching him how to catch fish. Being still young and not as well oriented as his father, Elister was not very good at this endeavor, and he soon became discouraged, although his father insisted on continuing the lessons, claiming even his sisters had gone through the training, and that he shouldn't let himself be bested by the girls.

Begrudgingly he continued these lessons, and eventually learned how to catch himself consistent meals. His skill, however, ended there. Unlike most zora, he didn't care to learn how to use the spear for defensive or offensive purposes aside from hunting food. When games were held for the bravest and strongest zora to prove themselves against one another, he sat aside and watched, not understanding the appeal of throwing sharp, pointy objects at one another.

At school, he did about as well as any other student, though he seemed to have difficulty wrapping his head tail around concepts of language. It took him longer than other students to learn how to speak Hylian (the universal language of the continent), and even longer to learn how to read and write it. His most favorite subject was music. He felt a sense of accomplishment whenever he was able to make music come from the fish bone guitars that were commonly distributed to students at school. Because of his deficiency in language skills, music became his method of release.

Because it took him so long to learn Hylian, it took him years more to really appreciate what good could come of visits to the surface of the lake. Before he learned the language, he was somewhat shy and kept to himself, but once he was able to understand these strangers, his attitude changed completely, and he began to make more frequent visits to the surface of Zora's Domain than his parents seemed to be happy with.

By the age of 17, when he didn't have school and wasn't helping his father catch the day's meal, he would swim to the surface and mingle with the land dwellers who often visited Zora's Domain while vacationing. Being surrounded by so many people really helped him come out of his shell, and soon he became more and more skilled, and as he began to mature, Elister decided to use his musical talents to draw the attention of tourists moving through Zora's Domain. Sometimes he would play for rupees, while other times he would play for families who had come to visit the serene lake for the night.

Belonging to one of these families was a 16 year old Hylian boy named Nikolai. His family was staying for a week, and since the two boys hit it off, they spent most of their free time together the next couple days, Elister attempting to teach Nikolai to play his guitar, and Nikolai showing Elister how to play soccer. Neither of them were very successful. When their time together was up, they parted ways, but they were able to keep in contact with one another via the post. Elister always knew when the Hylian boy was going to be coming, and always prepared ahead of time to wow the boy with a special something from his people.

With each visit, the two grew closer and closer, until they retired to a hidden alcove in Zora's Domain and laid together in a union which was most unorthodox. They were happy together, but at the same time they were uneasy, feeling as though they'd done something wrong. To fix this feeling, the pair, now a couple, decided to elope. The next time Nikolai and his family were visiting, Elister gathered his most important items from his family's underwater home, then sneaked away with Nikolai in tow.

They were able to get as far as the water falls before they had to hide away in a nearby cavern to wait for police to pass through. With them both missing, authorities had been called in to investigate, but they were able to avoid detection for a long enough time to make considerable distance down the passage way that led up to Zora's Domain while the police were searching for them inside.

Their journey away from that place took nearly a month, and by the time they had made it to Lake Hylia, they were both exhausted and practically starving. However, they pulled through, and were able to set up a meager form of shelter in a bundle of bushes at the far end of the lake, away from the human settlement that was near the entrance.

Now 19 and 18, the two remained there together, living out a meager existence while enjoying one another's company. It was a simple life, but it was enjoyable.

At least at first.

They didn't fight, per say, but as time wore on, passing slowly, almost painfully slowly, Nikolai began to become restless, bored with life out in the middle of no where. He didn't know what to do with himself during the day, and he found he was missing more and more the luxuries of living in Hylian society. By the lakeside, all there was to eat were fish and plants. There was no form of transportation. There was little to do for fun except to swim in the lake, and even then he had to be careful because of the creatures that lived deep below.

Elister wasn't a fool. Nikolai rarely complained outwardly, but Eli could tell that the other man wasn't happy. Being a zora, he himself was more accustomed to this simple life. Fish were the food that was most easily digested by his body, and the peace and tranquility of the lake was a source of wonder for Eli, as opposed to the source of boredom Nikolai found in it.

A year passed in this way, until Nikolai began to observe the families that lived in the village far off in the distance from their meager shack. He couldn't see them very well, but he was obviously yearning for their company. He hadn't lived in solitude for years as Elister once had. He couldn't stand this.

So Elister asked him to leave. Eli himself couldn't go too far, as he needed to live nearby water so that he wouldn't dehydrate and die. He'd ended up at Lake Hylia simply because that was where the river had led them. He didn't want to hold Nikolai back, especially when it was so clear that he was no longer happy living there.

Nikolai parted ways with Elister not long after, barely saying a word. He had nodded, gathered up his things, and left, breaking into a run as soon as his feet left the sand and had touched solid ground.

Elister was now left alone living on the banks of the lake with little to keep him company except for his guitar. He'd thought about visiting the village off in the distance, but whenever he got close, people seemed to keep away, as though they were afraid of him, so he kept his distance.

As time continued to wear on, each day blurring into the next, Elister found himself regretting ever leaving home. He'd been happy for a short while, but now he didn't even have his family to keep company. Growing more depressed, he decided to abandon the meager shack on the shore and take to living under the water once more. He unbound the sticks and branches, knocked them over, then slid back beneath the water and didn't come back out.

Lake Hylia, although not nearly as large as Zora's Domain, is vast, and Elister had no problem finding himself a little cavern deep in the body of water to hide himself away in during the night. As time wore on, he gathered seaweed and other material and created a curtain around the mouth, making an entryway for his new home. He also gathered large rocks to use as tables, as well as old driftwood he would tie together to create makeshift shelving. He also built himself a spear, although it is by no means useful for anything but fishing. It's made of sharp rock and a long branch, bound by strong sea weed. If used for anything but hunting, it would probably fall apart.

He lived in this way, alone, not daring to go back to the surface to have his heart broken again, at least until he noticed something strange in the lake. He'd seen others of his kind there before, but few had set up permanent residence, and were mostly just passing through. Now there seemed to handfuls of them lulling around at any given time and swimming upstream toward Hyrule Field.

Curious as to what was going on, he ventured out from his little hole in the wall and inquired what all the fuss was about. Turns out it was an annual festival that promised to be the most grand of the century. How he'd not realized it had occurred years prior, he didn't know, but he did know that a lot of people seemed to be going, and that maybe, just maybe, this would be an opportunity for him to reconnect with society, and maybe fill the void in his heart that had been created by Nikolai leaving.

Special Abilities – Elister is able to play the guitar with a fair amount of skill. He is also colored purple, instead of blue.

Inventory – 1 Messenger bag (designed for underwater use and crocheted with a type of sea weed) | 1 Money pouch | 32 rupees (two green, one yellow, and four blue) | 1 Fish Bone Guitar | 1 Fishing Spear
Spoiler for Nikolai:
Age – 22

Sex – Male

Species - Hylian

Personality – Nikolai is a rather well mannered man when he's not riled up to violence. He speaks quietly and politely, but when he's angry he's got a foul mouth and a hot head that often lands him in trouble. He's not easy to anger this deeply, however. It tends to come only when someone has truly committed something horrible against him or someone he cares about. Despite this quirk, Nikolai is actually something of a coward. If he can avoid trouble or a fight, he will. His bravery, which he will boast if given the chance, comes only when truly angered or presented with a situation that is life or death.

Appearance – Nikolai stands tall, a couple inches over six feet, and is somewhat thickly built, slightly muscular but not too much so. His skin is fair with a slightly tanned tint. His hair is colored brown blond, being a tint darker than the most common hylian blond. He wears it slightly choppy, with a metered fringe as long as his lips on the ends and as short as the bridge of his nose in the center. He wears a thin beard down the side of his face that bundles up together at his chin.

History – Nikolai was born in the north east region rather than in Hyrule, though his parents were both born there and had merely moved away before he was born. His mother and father were fond of the rito tribe and had relocated to be able to observe them and better learn their culture. Two years later sister Clarissa was born and was the second and last child.

The region they lived in provided access to many natural attractions, including the great rito woodlands to the west, the great bay to the north, and zora's domain to the south. Although they visited the bay often and obviously loved the rito, their favorite place to vacation was at zora's domain for its natural beauty. The water there was always clean and pure, and the waterfalls were to die for. The ice floes and shrine nearby were just icing on the crystal cake.

As so many vacations took him there, Nikolai had become endeared toward the zora race from a young age. He found them fascinating, moreso than the rito. They could breath above and below water and most of their cities and homes were under the lakes nearby the mountain. There were wise and kind, and Nikolai always looked forward to visiting them, especially after he met a particular zora boy who caught his attention more than the others.

The zoras came in a variety of shades. This one was a purple that reminded him of amethysts. He was drawn to him partly for his looks and partly for his music. It was only after a number of these meetings for the aesthetical purposes that he started getting to know the boy on a more personal level. He learned his name and background, including that he struggled with understanding and speaking Hylian, and began to tutor him, with the two growing closer as the time wore on.

During this time of being close, the two were joined in a union and eloped together, partly because they feared being discovered, and partly because they wanted freedom from their oppressive families. They settled down at Lake Hylia. Nikolai was restless there, uneasy about his feelings for the zora and yearning for the life he left behind. After being told to leave, he did so readily, but he soon found that he wasn't happy being away either.

After spending just a week at the town he'd fled to, Nikolai returned to the shack he'd built with the zora, hoping to make amends, but to his horror he found the place in shambles. Assuming the worst, he returned to the town once more, feeling as though he were responsible for the zora's death because he hadn't been there to help protect him from whatever fiend had taken his life.

Not wanting to live in the past, Nikolai traveled with some other people to another town past the mountains that was situated nearby the famed Lon Lon Ranch. Once there he found work at the ranch and began renting a small home on the edge of town. For the first months there he was miserable, unable to truly let go of what had happened. He worked by day and by night holed himself up in his room and studied magic, pouring over tomes he'd had to save each paycheck to afford.

The results of his studying were fruitful. He learned how to use a variety of basic water spells and was quickly learning how to variate their temperature as well, such as to create a burst of scalding water or to freeze a shot of water mid way to its target. This magic, of course, he learned because of his obsessive thoughts over his lost love. It was a means to remember and honor him when he had such a poor job of it in person.

Somewhat lifted by his new abilities, Nikolai began to open up again, returning to his former mischievous, fun loving self. Now that he was aware of his surroundings, he began to realize a woman who frequented the ranch for produce was giving him "the eye" and so he turned his now freed evenings into time to spend wooing her. He wanted to get over the zora, but he also wanted to try and suppress the feelings he'd had for him. They most certainly weren't normal, and in this new life he didn't want them to be known.

His efforts paid off quickly, and soon the two of them were known as the ranch hand sweethearts. They were married not long after, and even sooner were with child. This was a scary thing for Nikolai, but he soon warmed up to the baby girl who was born. He found himself surprisingly happy with these people and lived his life in peace, at least until current events.

Each year during the festival he would don the garb of the legendary Hero of Time and work various jobs, either giving out fliers or performing in ancient battle reenactments. His training for this allowed him the knowledge to use a bow and arrows, a sword, and a shield. He even put his magic to use to perform special attacks with the weapons. His job also allowed him to work security for the festival, which has provided him with ownership of a variety of rare relics and magical artifacts confiscated from rowdy or drunk festival goers.

Special Abilities – Nikolai can wield a sword and shield, though he's not particularly good at using them. His training was light and while he can swing to kill, he lacks the strength in his arm to truly be deadly with the blade. Nik also knows how to properly wield and fire a hunting caliber bow. Again he lacks strength in his arm to be a skilled arch man, but his aim is impeccable. He is also capable of performing various incarnations of water magic.

Inventory – x1 Hylian Shield, x1 Hylian Sword, x1 bow and x50 arrows, x1 magical amplifier, xX rupees.

Attention: Prior players for the RP should repost their character profiles so I can relink to them.

Spoiler for Koda Darweshi:

Name – Koda Darweshi

Age – 19

Sex – Male

Species - Rito

Personality – He’s friendly and fairly happy. He enjoys life and while can get hyper at times, isn’t energetic to the point of driving everyone else mad. He’s open and inquisitive and likes to talk to new people and learn new things. He knows when to keep to himself though, and has no problem keeping quiet when the occasion calls for it.

He loves music, of all kinds, and he spends a lot of time singing. He’s good but he’s not going to be going down in history as the best there ever was.

Appearance – Like all of his race he has a bird beak for a nose. His body is covered in downy feathers, and his legs are like those of a bird (the top being feathery while the lower leg is yellow and thick skinned). He has taloned feet. He also had thick tail feathers that go almost to his knees.

And he has wings. They grew out of his shoulders and are separate from his arms. Most of the time they lay on his arms looking like robe sleeves, but when spread out they were just lightly over four feet long and obviously wings.

Otherwise he looks fairly human. He stands about 5’5”. His torso is lean and slightly muscular. He had light brown eyes and hair that doesn’t quite reach his shoulders. It's a dark goldish brown (think golden eagle color) that matches the color of his wing feathers. His tail and down feathers  are that color too (though the tail tips are darker).

He wears a dark brown tunic of rito design and pattern. Around his waist he has leather belt. He doesn’t wear pants as they would be uncomfortable with his tail and legs. Anyway his tunic is long enough, though he doesn’t really need any cover down there as he has feathers that do the job nicely.

And I should probably show what I mean by his legs and tail. This was ok'd by ice.

History – He was born and raised in a Rito village in the mountains. He’s the youngest of two children. His sister is 2 years old then him. They get along as well as any siblings do, meaning the annoy the heck out of each other, but love the other anyway.

Like most of his kind when he was old enough to learn, he was taught to hunt small pray with his talons. He wasn’t the best at it, but he was good enough not to starve. Remembering what kind of wild vegetation was edible and where to find it came a bit better to him.

He did well enough in school to get decent grades, his inquisitive nature sometimes got his teachers annoyed with him though when he’d ask question after question. They never tried to get him to stop asking questions all together but he did learn to limit himself. Having a descent voice he joined the choir.  Of all things taught in his school, this ended up as his favorite class.

His sister didn’t share the same interest as he did in knowing about the outside there mountain home, but would always listen to him when he went on about what he’d learned. None of his friends shared his interest either. They cared more about just having fun, and as they got older girls. He was disinterested in showing off for girls. He’d rather study.  Not that he didn’t make fool of himself now and then with his friends.

By the time he was 16 he’d learned all that was required of him to learn, though as he had a thirst for knowing more, he’d often come back and talk to his old teachers. The more he asked about other places the more he realized he wished to see it with his own eyes. So finally a few months after turning 16 he told his father he wished to leave and see the world. His Father didn’t really like it but he let him go, telling him not to come crying back to him when things didn’t work out as wonderfully as they thought it would.

Things weren’t always smiles and sun shine, but he did have fun too. One of the biggest things to get used was culture differences. He know things else where were different but still was surprised him when he first saw it with his own eyes.

His people being more with nature didn’t use electricity as much. They did have lighting and some heating, but only were they could harness renewable power. At first all the thing that power could run shocked him. It also was  odd to him that in a lot of places you didn’t go hunting or gathering for food. His people had markets sure, but he was far more used to things being much, much ‘fresher’.

The thing that was the worst though, was that as he was different in some places he wasn’t welcome. He was never threatened, but especially in some of the human towns he was either ignored, or got the feeling they wanted him to leave as soon as possible. He didn’t give up on traveling though. At first he didn’t go far from home, and after realizing singing could help people open up started to sing in the town he visited. He never asked for it but he accepted any Rupee’s he was given when he sang.

He didn’t travel non stop from place to place. He returned home now and then (More often at the beginning) to share what he’d seen and learned, but also to be with his family and friends. While he did love seeing new things he also missed them. When he’s home he spends his time, either out gathering food for the village with his friends or making various items (like preparing furs or making dreamcatchers, the dreamcatchers being his favorite) to trade to other races with his family.

He’s been traveling and returning home for about three years now. As he got older he started to travel a bit rather, but this year he plains on a bigger journey. He plans on going to Lon Lon Ranch for the festival.

Special Abilities – Singing and flight?

Inventory – A pouch of rupees (about 67 62 plus change ok?), a bag with a couple extra shirts and a few personal items. Like a book, picture… that kind of stuff.

What does Ice like?

Spoiler for Hiden:
Cats!

Role Play Sample –  Will make a new one in a bit.

Spoiler for Laura:
Name – Laura Talia

Age – 10

Sex – Female

Species - Human

Personality – Laura is almost always cheerful, having a really cute charm to her. However, she is serious when needed and refuses to be pushed around. There are also a number of things that piss her off; like people or animals being picked on, something ruining what was suppose to be a great day, or not being able to sleep peacefully. She is also pretty smart for her age. She's a kind soul to everyone who starts on good terms with her; she ignores people who starts on bad terms with her besides the occisoinal glare. Luckily, it is hard to start on bad terms with Laura.

Appearance – Slim figure in a purple knee-length dress; Luara is also 5 feet tall. Has black hair (stops halfway down her back; has a rose that came from her garden in the left side near the back of her head), blue eyes, tan skin (being out in the garden most of the time means being out in the sun most of the time); wears leather boots. Has an item pouch strapped to the back of her hips via her sash.

Laura also has a quiver of practice arrows strapped to her back with a bow hanging off of it.

Is currently wearing an archer costume that one of her neighbours bought for her. The costume consists of a small green skirt with a light green shirt and a dark green sash. There is also archer's vest to match the skirt, brown boots, and a green archer's hat. Laura is wearing the hat slightly tilted as she still has the rose in her hair.

History – Laura had lived an average life as the itemshop owner's (her father) daughter. She helps her father by keeping the store clean and fetching items from the backroom, which in turn gets her an allowance of 5 rupees per week. Her mother is an expert in archery (due to being a hunter hired to provide meat to the local meat shop) and has been teaching Laura everything about archery since she was 8; however, Laura still has a lot to learn.

Laura also shown an interest in gardening, starting when her parents decided to introduce the activity to her (see hobbies in the other notes section). She loved gardening so much, she would save up the allowance she earned just to buy seeds and bulbs for her garden. She went as far as putting one of her roses in her hair, much to the dismay of her parents (they believed that the rose would attract bugs to her hair, allowing them to sneak inside the house and item shop). Laura had such a lovely garden, some people would offer to buy the flowers only to get refused.

Laura parents were going to the festival for business reasons (Laura's father wants to sell some of his wares and Laura's mother wants to try her hand at running an archery game) and decided to let Laura come and have some fun, which delighted Laura as her parents usually leave her with her grandparents. Even more to her delight was the fact that she was allowed to go to the festival on the day it opened (thanks to her neighbours); a day earlier than her parents. Her parents even gave her 50 rupees for the first day, which Laura was thankful for as she spend the last of her rupees a couple days ago on more seeds for her garden.

Special Abilities – None.

Inventory – Toy Bow | Quiver with 30 practice arrows (harmless; for target practice) | 45 rupees

Other notes...
Favourite colour - Purple

Hobbies - singing. When Laura was 7, she met a travelling singer and his friends that stayed in town for a few days. Laura would go to listen to the singer everyday and eventually decided to try singing herself after the singer left town. Several months later, Laura found her singing voice and was able to sing decently. However, she had lost interest over the years and now only sings once in a while...

Gardening. See friends. This is her favourite hobby.

Archery. See history. Laura took quite a liking to this hobby as she enjoys the challenges and the feeling of accomplishment when she succeeds.

Friends - Laura had two friends, Jin and Frealia. Jin is a boy one year younger than Laura and Frealia is Jin's older sister, being two years older than Laura. They have moved away last year, having Laura feeling lonely for a couple months before her parents got her into gardening. Laura fell in love with the activity, to the point of her parents sometimes having trouble getting her to leave the garden at times.

What does Ice like? Kirby?

Role Play Sample –

Laura ran up to the festival's entrance, ignoring the shouts of the neighbours she was travelling with as her face beamed with excitement. She was so happy to finally be able to go and a day eariler than her parents too. She ran around, looking at all the things she could do and the things she could eat as she tried to decide how to spend her 50 rupees without spending it too quickly.

She then noticed (insert activity here) and ran towards the line. She calmly waited in the line, watching (activity) with interest. As she waited, she thought about the other attractions and which ones she could go on while still having money to buy food. Laura started to lightly bounced on her feet in excitement, recieving a couple stares but she ignored them.

"Laura" a woman with brown hair and a matching dress said, running up to Laura and stopping to catch her breath. After a while, she said. "Please don't run off like that!"

"Sorry, Mrs. Cheila..." Laura replied with a cheerfully cute smile. "I was so excited, I couldn't wait!!"

Mrs. Cheila shook her head. "I don't see how Thema and Daniel were able to keep their sanity..."

"Hey... I'm not troublesome..." Laura said, pouting.

Mrs. Cheila chuckled to herself. "Of course not. I was just kidding"

Laura just smiled and turned back to the line, happily bouncing on her feet as she waited.

Spoiler for Elandra:
Name – Elandra Dreel

Age – 19

Sex – Female

Species - Fairy

Personality – She's generally friendly and up beat when people get to know her. She is a fair bit shy when it comes to meeting new people but she does her best to warm up to others. She also a caring soul; when she sees someone sad, she will most likely try to cheer them up. However, she tends to only show up around people she feels are nice and trustworthy. For example: If she sees someone that is helpful to others, she will go up to them and introduce herself. She hates people who try to stuff her into a bottle (what fairy wouldn't?).

She dislikes having her name shortened.

Appearance – Light green skin, dark green hair, blue eyes, wings.

Elandra found a dark green leaf and liked the way it looked, so she took it and put a hole in the middle. After slipping the leaf over her slim figure, she went to rip enough of the leaf to make a knee-length dress of sorts. She ended up tearing it so the left side ended at her knee but the right ended at her ankle. She liked this instead and ripped the back to match. She turned the pieces resulting from the ripping into a small sash to hold the front and back of her make-shift dress together.

History – Elandra's children wasn't very interesting as she mainly just hung out with her friends by a nearby pond. That is, when she wasn't helping her family gather food. Her favourite thing to eat is fruit, so she tends to grab any piece of fruit she comes across. Her family consists of her mom, dad, older sister, younger sister, and younger brother. Her young brother always calls her Elan, knowing full well that she dislikes having her name shortened. It doesn't help that her older sister insists on calling her Dra...

Once she turned eighteen, she set out for a place to live with her parents blessing. Deciding that she needed a change in scenery, Elandra left the forest in search of other areas. Desprite her slight shyness, her first home of choice was a Hylian house in a village set at the base of a mountains. She choose this as she decided that if she avoided detection, she'll be fine. Plus it took her one year to find the place.

However, it took only five days for the family to find her, causing her to flee before she get caught in a bottle. After taking a few days to calm down, Elandra continued on to eventually find an easier means of travel, a wagon. Although she didn't know where the wagon was going, she decided that it was faster than flying around without a destination. Upon landing on the wagon's roof, she fell asleep as the wagon started to turn north towards its destination.

Special Abilities – Since fairies are small creatures, this allows Elandra to go into spaces other species can't. Fairies also have the ability to heal wounds, which is why they are being bottled by other species. And finally there is flight, not as good other winged species but sufficent enough for the needs of fairies.

Inventory – none

What does Ice like? The little fuzzy (or fluffy) house animals that are renown for being very self sufficient.

Spoiler for Roarke Acanthus:
Name – Roarke Acanthus

Age – 14

Sex – Male

Species - Deku Scrub

Personality – Roarke is a methodical and wary thief by birth, simply because he has yet to completely abandon his father's tutelage. He still tends to think of people as he did before, like easily distracted pigeons; but this is a disadvantage when he goes out on his own, since now he thinks everyone is watching him. He isn't socially awkward, but he'd rather avoid personal confrontation as it feels too much like police interrogation.

Appearance – As a young Deku, his body is comprised of wood and foliage. He's short-grown, even for a shrub, coming to maybe 3'8" including his twin-tipped jester's hat. The careful shading between the green and yellow stripes of leaves are a testament to Roarke's eye for detail. Atop each peak are two small bulbous purple flowers, which serve as sensors. His mouth is set lower on his face, so that he cannot fire Deku Nuts or Bubbles without positioning his head in an awkward and telltale position. He can still shoot accurately, but it's not really suited for combat since he takes too long to set up.

The rest of his physiology is fairly unimpressive. The trademark Deku collar of leaves hangs over most of a sturdy lightweight frame, but his hands are made more for handiwork than labor. He wears a kind of ivy tunic along with his messenger bag. He can also wield the knife he has strapped horizontally across his waist, but this is still in mint condition since it's reserved for emergency situations that have yet to occur.

History – Roarke has had very little history without the association of his father. From birth, Poppy was deeply involved with Roarke, and not in the most legitimate of ways. As soon as Roarke grew able, he was utilized as a distraction for Poppy's shady schemes. Quickly his father instructed crash-course lessons on juggling, card tricks, even buying a cheap harp from time to time whenever he thought the job would pay off. This two-man act formed the basis of childhood, Roarke playing the audience as Poppy pilfered and pocketed whatever he could in the process. The occasional job required his second set of hands, or eyes, or sometimes just that he learn whatever Poppy was doing; but nonetheless Roarke came to think that this relationship was healthier still than what most others had. Though he still envied their victims. Not for their loss, but for having things to lose.

At first, it seemed like a "father-son bonding time" kind of shebang, this vagrant life. Despite the frequency of their trade, they were always short on Rupees, more Poppy's fault than Roarke's: where he had privately stashed away his earnings, more than once had he caught his father rifling through his own bag for booze money. This was probably the primary reason for Roarke's training as a thief, since Poppy did not age well. Still he accepted this as ordinary life, and in a way even better than others. The audience was probably the biggest joy he got out of his "jobs". He was growing up doing things that he loved, even if not for the most savory ends. His abilities as an entertainer grew, and for this he was happy.

Sometimes he was left alone for days at a time. He grew to know that these were less of a "personal trip" and more of a "trip to jail" as he began to join his father more frequently. It didn't even appear to faze Poppy; he just took the beatings, even making the same mistakes again and going back for more punishment. Roarke, however, was already fed up with this routine. Slowly but surely, tension began to mount, the uneasiness of dissatisfaction in his life growing ever stronger. He kept it down as best he could; after all, this was Poppy, the one father figure who had cared for him, even if he wasn't the father by birth(a dishonesty confessed in a drunken slur years past).

The years went by, but finally it came to pass that Roarke had simply tired of the thievery and the more-frequent prison. Not that he'd ever tell Poppy. Slowly, as Roarke's interest dimmed, the slip-ups became even more frequent and even more serious. Eventually he fell out of favor with his surrogate father and finally Roarke deserted him. Poppy worked solo a while, but he was quickly caught and arrested again.

Well, Roarke didn't know for sure, though he kinda expected it.

Now the Deku boy sets off blindly, unknowingly walking right into the biggest Festival that Hyrule would ever see.

Special Abilities – Possesses natural skills as a Deku(five consecutive hops on water, usage of Deku Nuts/Bubbles/Plants); Skilled in distraction and sleight of hand, as a result of his history with Poppy (juggling, card tricks, harp/lyre-type instruments)

Inventory – A delivery bag with a Giant Wallet(150 rupees), 15 Deku Nuts, an Empty Bottle, a deck of playing cards, a hand Lyre, and a set of Lockpicks. A knife holstered at his waist(which will be left in a nearby hiding spot when he encounters the guards) and his treasured Hat.

Spoiler for Mila Keaton:
Spoiler for Name/Age/Sex/Species:
Name - Mila Keaton

Age – 29

Sex – Female

Species - Kokiri

Spoiler for Personality:
Personality – For her age Mila is very childish, but the way in which she speaks tends to offset that. When discussing heroic stories, she can become both a nerd and a tomboy. She is friendly enough, but not actually good at making friends as she has had no practice due to her history, condition, and the fact that she spends her days traveling (All explained later). One of her biggest goals is to find a friend. She loves nature, and can often be found hugging trees because she likes trees and hugging. Also so she doesn't have to feel alone and it probably feels like hugging a real person anyways. She loves to sing, but isn't very good. She tends to joke around a lot, but it is hard to tell when she is joking because she never lets on. She seems entirely serious even if she has just said the most ridiculous thing in the world.

Spoiler for Appearance:
Appearance – As a Kokiri, despite her age she looks like a thirteen-year-old girl. She does, however, differ from other Kokiri in ONE respect- she was born with very pale skin, white hair, and eyes that seemed... unnatural, to say the least. Unnatural in that they were a very pale shade of blue which, if viewed from certain angles, may seem red. She hates this part of herself. In addition, she does not wear the garb one normally associates with the Kokiri due to the conditions in which she was raised. She wears a black minishirt, matching kneesocks, a red blazer, and white button-down shirt underneath. Her hair is about two and a half feet long, which is pretty long considering her height of five feet.

Spoiler for History:
History – Mila was raised in an orphanage. Her parents did not want her because of her condition (Red eyes, white hair, pale skin), as these features are generally frowned upon and taken as a sign of evil in a child. In the orphanage, every day was worse than the last. Turns out fellow misfits don't stick together when one freak out-freaks them all.

She was used as a scapegoat by the other orphans, and was bullied mercilessly. Her punishments grew steadily worse as time wore on, and when the other children kept aging even after thirteen it was another reason to pick on her- and it was easier too. Eventually, she broke.

After the other orphans would make fun of her and hurt her,she would escape into another world of her own design. When she was sad and alone, she would remember the stories she read about legendary heroes and wicked wizards. The fantastic magic, the chivalrous gallantry, the love, the romance, the locales, the beautiful castles and quaint villages.

Examples of her punishments include, but are not limited to:

Scrubbing every inch of the floors in the building. This used to be an activity that all the orphans would partake in, but they left their tasks to her and the facilitators did not seem to mind as long as it got done. Every once in a while, pity would be taken on her and the adults would force the other children to take part. This, however, just made them more annoyed.

Having her room trashed. When the other children were especially annoyed at her, or even at something else entirely, they would raid her room. They'd wreck her meager belongings, and throw stuff all around. The facilitators didn't really seem to care, but they were attentive enough to at least provide her more of a particular item if it was a necessity and was stolen (Like soap).

Being followed around and poked by the other kids. It may not have been their worst or most creative punishment, but Hell was it annoying. They'd also yelp, at random intervals, "Hello!", "Hey!", and "Listen!". She tried to ignore it, but it was only a matter of time until it really got on her nerves. If the facilitators caught the other kids doing this, they would sometimes write it off as "Kids being kids", but when the poking devolved into shoving they would intervene.

(End punishment listing)

When she was finally eighteen, she was released from custody at the orphanage. She did not know how to do anything for herself, but what she DID know was that she had to get as far from there as possible. She ran and ran and it felt good. She'd almost never been outside the orphanage, but finally she got to see all of the wondrous things that she'd read about.

Things were not so easy at first. Because she did not yet have any skills, she spent her days begging in any shade she could find. As it turns out, people were generally nicer than she'd given them credit for- especially the Hylians. These folk seemed more open and accepting than the humans that she had also met. This made her rather wary of the humans, but she would accept them too if she got to know the human in question and they seemed genuinely kind.

Some of the shop owners (Mostly Hylian) would even take pity on her and provide her with some food. Eventually, with the help of the kind people she met, she managed to scrape enough together to buy an umbrella so she could exit the shade and go to more central places in town. Here, she would make more money from begging (Still not much though) due to the larger volume of people.

Eventually she saw that other beggars made more, not just because they were normal- but because they traded services for money. Some would sing, some would preform, and some would do... other things. She wondered what she could do, and eventually found something. She would tell stories. She'd practically memorized the heroic tales from books she'd read- so what she would do was relate them.

She started off small, just telling stories to those who would supply her with money. Word spread of the amazing tales that this girl knew, and the townsfolk who were not bigoted would come to see her almost every day to hear a new story. Large crowds would gather, and some people even overcame their fears of her condition and lend her an ear.

She wanted to share her discoveries with the world, and bring wonderment to all the corners of Hyrule. She then started going from town to town and collected stories from those who would tell her. She collected sights as well, and committed them to memory. She went around and spread these stories and sights to those who would listen, and people would even give her more rupees. She became, in essence, a bard.

Although she tried to push the memories of the orphanage out of her mind, they continued to haunt her no matter how many stories she collected. She used this as motivation to learn a weapon, if only the bare basics. She learned how to effectively wield a dagger, and began carrying around a slingshot as well... not just for self-defense, but for practical reasons like getting fruit off of trees. She was trying to live the childhood she never had, and she had fun and made money in the process.

It's been eleven years, and although the memories of her disappointing childhood never really left, she's moved on and is finally happy. She's going to the festival to learn even more stories from any number of places and to tell the ones she DOES know.

Spoiler for Special Abilities:
Special Abilities – She knows how to effectively wield a dagger and slingshot (Though she is far from a professional and is mainly self-taught). In addition, she is familiar with a huge number of stories, songs, and legends, and knows multiple languages from her travels (Only Hylean fluently, though). She is also well-versed in a number of locations. She doesn't know which locations are mythical and which are real, though. That goes the same for monsters.

Spoiler for Inventory/What Does Ice Like:
Inventory – A slingshot with twenty bullets, a dagger, an umbrella, and 30 rupees. (Note: The dagger cannot be brought into the festival.)

What does Ice like? Cats.

Spoiler for RP Sample:
Mila gazed up at the tower: a villainous-looking lair if ever you had seen one. It reached up into the clouds, and had dark blood-red spikes protruding from it. The tower itself was black, and seemed to be surrounded by darkness. Only a second ago was she in the beautiful fields of Hyrule, but with this tower all of that beauty and light had disappeared.

"She's up there." Spoke the man beside her. "Plotting."

The man was adorned in a green tunic, and held a beautiful sword that seemed to pierce the darkness around them. His shield shined like the sun, as did his smile. But he wasn't smiling now- he looked dead serious. His normally prim golden hair was wild and drenched in the blood and sweat of countless battles.

"Why does she want to hurt all of those people, mister Sunders? What are her intentions?" asked Mila, still mesmerized by the imposing monolith before her.

"...If anyone knows, it would be me I guess." Replied mister Sunders "We have a bit of a history together. You see, when we were kids... I would always protect her. She couldn't stand up for herself. I think that the sort of world she wants... is one where nobody will have to feel helpless."

"But how is this helping the world? I do not understand... if anything, all of the world's people feel helpless now. Against power like that, I am not even sure that you can stand up to her." Replied Mila, her voice stained with worry.

"Heh... it's good that you think like that. All she's been taught is to solve her problems with violence, and for that I am partially to blame. People would hurt her, and then I would hurt them. All she knows... is that the bad people won't just go away on their own. She has to make them."

At this, Mila felt a sickening sadness pierce her chest. Her throat dried, and she held her stomach. For some reason this really struck a chord, and it made her feel ill.

"M-mister Sunders!" she yelped, trying to calm herself "We cannot... we cannot let her do that! We cannot..."

The hero knelt down, held Mila close, and said "Don't worry. I'll make her see sense. I know I will. This will be our final battle, and if she won't listen to reason... I'll..."

Tears began welling up in the man's eyes. He shook his head violently, and continued.

"Oh, Triforce of Courage... lend me your strength! Lend me the strength to strike down my friend if it must come to that! Even though it may make me no better than her... this is something I must do for all the people of Hyrule!"

He stood back up, and made his way to the main entrance of the dark tower. He wiped the blood, sweat, and tears from his face and beckoned Mila. The time was nigh- the final battle was fast approaching.

And then Mila woke up.

It was a long time ago--an honest mistake. I'm sure Paladin can/will fix it next time he's on and sees it. No worries, dudes. ^_^

Yes, yes. I had completely forgotten. I shall change it in a manner similar to how a boss might change it. Like a boss.

Sorry, I didn't notice this.

Spoiler for Dalia Hazelwood:
Name – Dalia Hazelwood

Age – 60

Sex – Female

Species - Gerudo

Personality – Dalia has a friendly attitude towards customers, potential costumers and hard workers...and a mean streak to everyone else.  She is greedy and will not (normally) part with her potions for free.  Those who dare call her a witch will invoke her wrath, meaning she will smack those unfortunate souls with her broom.  She also have a soft spot for cats and little children, but if one mentions this, he or she will face her wrath.

Appearance – Dalia is short.  Standing at 4 feet, slightly hunched over.  Covering her entire body is a black robe.  On the back of the robe is the symbol of the Gerudo (the new version, not the one with the moon and the star).  Also wears white socks and brown sandals.  She has the typical traits of a Gerudo:  Long pointy nose, Red hair, that is tied into a 2 feet ponytail with some streaks of white, and dark skin.  She appears fragile and this, and carries a large broom, which she sometime uses for flight.

History – As a child, her mother expected Dalia to be a potion maker and named her as such to reflect that.  Her father left home and rarely comes home.  So her mother trained her daughter constantly and harshly, but never abusing her.  She said it was more of a "actively encouragment".  Dalia studied day and night learning the different plants and roots and what goes in a potionm and what is poison.  She also studied on certain plants found in certain regions and learning their properties, such as the bomb flowers.  On her 10th birthday, she recieved a broom from her father who couldn't visit.  And she learned how to fly by the teachings of her mother.

Four years later, Dalia joined in on the family business at their shop, putting her skill in brewing to the test.  Making quality items, she has more than proven her worth.  After a year working in the shop, Dalia found out that her father left the family for unknown reasons.  One day, she found a stray cat near the store and nursed it back to health in secret.  Her mother eventually discovered the animal and Dalia was forced to part with it.  Nearing the end of her teenage life, she moved out of her mothers home and lived by herself, continuing to perfect the art of brewing.

At the beginning of her adult years, it was time for Dalia to find a suiter for mating.  However, she was not so much trained socially and was not able to find one, despite her mother's push.  At age 35, she gave up on finding someone and returned bitterly to her life as a potion maker.  The gerudo woman would eventually find money as her only comfort.  Now at age 50, She arrives to the festival ready sell her homemade potions as with every year.

Special Abilities – Dalia specializes in making potions and great knowledge on a lot of things.  Due to old age she has since forgotten some of them.  Using her broom she could fly around but not carry anything heavy with her. Die to her age, she cannot go faster than an average Hylian.

Inventory – 300 (Soon to be 200) Rupees, a Giant Wallet and a Red Potion.

What does Ice like?

Spoiler for Hiden:
Cats

Role Play Sample (Might edit in the actual RP) –

"There!  I want it over there!  And be careful, damn it!"  With one hand on her broom, Dalia pointed her finger at an open space.  The two Goron workers slowly, but carefully moved the large and heavy black cauldron to the location indicated. They carefully lowered the object, crushing the grass beneath it.  Dalia walked slowly, her broom slightly off  the ground.  Removing the lid, Dalia checked the contents of the pot.  She closed her eyes and smelled the red liquid inside.  Closing the lid, she smiled and nodded in satisfaction before turning around and pointing her broom at another cauldron, this one being slightly blue.

"Now place that-"  With her hand she pointed at the ground 3 feet left of the red potion.  "-there. If you please."  The gorons nodded and with all their strength, lifted the cauldron.  She watched the workers struggle as they slowly moved to the deisgnated spot.

Dalia raised her head covering her eye from the sun and saw that the time of the festival is near.  I better move quickly.  A soft thought brought her head back down as the gorons finished their work.  She rushed over as fast as she could and checked the contents of the blue potion inside the same as she did the red potion.  Satisfied that it is in perfect condition, she walked over to the two gorons, eager to get paid.

"Now, I expect you to see you after the festival."  Out of her purse she withdrew two purple rupees and handed them to her workes, who promply high fived each other and bowed to the gerudo witch.  "Thank you for the payment.  And we'll see you after the festival."  They rolled away. To where, Dalia doesn't care.  All she wants is to get paid and the festival is usually the perfect time to get 5 times more than what she normally get.  Thinking about this, she raised her head and laughed evilly at the profit that is to come.

Will make a completely different secondary character.
