Name: Autumn Voice
Age: 127
Sex: Female
Species: Demon
Faction: Hunters
Personality: Autumn is a demon who has learned extreme patience. After decades of putting up with humans who despise her, she has gained a thick skin against insults and threats. She tries to avoid being confrontational with the Hunters, even to the point of not fighting back when she is attacked to avoid the appearance of being hostile. She tends to be very stoic and dry when it comes to interacting with others, knowing that being stand-offish can be unhelpful, and acting friendly will also earn suspicion and ire.
She's not incapable of showing emotion though, and does open up her brighter side to those who show her kindness. She has a particularly weak spot for those she would consider her family.
Appearance: About 5' 10”, Autumn possesses the sharp, angular features associated with demons. Of particular note are the yellow, slitted eyes, and black horns that sprout from her forehead and curve back over her head. She also has red hair and pale skin.
Because her natural features tend to inspire alarm in humans, she normally uses a relic to make herself look more human. Giving her the appearance of normal, brown eyes, brown hair, and a more tanned-looking skin skin tone. The illusion makes her horns disapear as well.
She tends to wear whatever is practical for physical activity beneath a cloak. She also wears a choker with a cross on it.
Blood Ties: None
History: Autumn Voice was born in the realm of chaos from a long line of conjurers. Possessing a tender heart, she found life very difficult. She spent an unusually long time trying to hone her abilities, trying to meet the expectations that had been placed upon her. It was only because of long, hard work and dedication that she finally mastered having a familiar who would obey her command. A time span in which her siblings and fellow students had long surpassed her.
Autumn then recieved a reprieve of sorts when she was given the offer to assist in the efforts of Dracula in the human word, being told she would likely be more useful there. So she went, entering Dracula's service in the early 1900's. More specifically, she entered into the service of Elizabeth Bartley, a niece of Dracula's who was attempting to revive him.
Initially brought on to fight those who would attack their castle, in the midst of World War I, Autumn found it easy to understand the mistrust and hate of humans her masters possessed, seeing how they would fight and spoil a world that seemed so peaceful and tranquil compared to the Chaos Realm.
After being so used to fighting off the humans who would attack her and her comrades, Autumn came into a conflict of interest when she faced a captured human, one who was to sacrificed to further Dracula's cause. The human was Andreea, a mother of two, who had lost her husband in the war, begging that she be allowed to return to care for them. In a moment of weakness, Autumn allowed the human to be freed, on the condition that it was the truth, following the human back to her home at knifepoint. Seeing that the human had indeed told the truth, Autumn returned, saying the sacrifice had inexplicably escaped.
It was the first of many instances in which Autumn's tender heart got the better of her. She often found herself looking out for Andreea and her family in particular, coming to warn them of times when attacks were likely. As the years went on surviving the rises and falls of Castlevania while she remained in the human world, she found herself sympathizing more with the humans, understanding why they held such a mistrust and hatred for the monsters who threatened their existance.
Autumn faced a deep sorrow when Andreea finally met her end at the hands of a monster. Her loyalty was teetering, and finally came to a test when the moment came. Andreea's son had became a hunter, vowing to kill the monsters who slew his mother. The day came when Autumn faced him in combat, and managed to subdue him. Faced with the possibility of killing him right then and there, as she was ordered to, she hesitated and allowed him to escape.
Her traitorous nature open and clear, she escaped that day as well, becoming an open enemy of Castlevania. Since then, she has considered herself an ally of the hunters, keeping her services open to them, though they are rarely immediately accepted.
